To mark AGF’s 75th anniversary, the Foundation has decided to donate $75,000 in every division where the company is present! To do this, we asked our employees to get involved. Yes, they were the ones who chose the causes through a dedicated survey in each of our divisions.
It’s an opportunity for them to give back to their local communities and to causes close to their hearts.
Here are their choices:
In New Brunswick – La Fondation des petits déjeuners de la péninsule acadienne
This Foundation’s mission is to feed children in schools on the Acadian Peninsula by promoting breakfast programs in partnership with communities, donors, local food producers and schools. In 2023: Their goal was to raise a million-dollar fund to improve the health and education of all students on the peninsula, without discrimination. We’re delighted to contribute $37,500 towards this goal.

In Nova Scotia – Feed Nova Scotia
Feed Nova Scotia improves the food security of local residents every day through food distribution, education and collaboration.
With a donation of $2, Feed Nova Scotia can distribute 3 meals. Our donation of $37,500 will enable us to distribute over 56,000 meals!

In Quebec – Fondation Laurent Duvernet-Tardif for their program “La 6ème période”.
La 6ème période fosters curiosity, creativity, self-esteem and perseverance through art and sport to help young people develop their potential.
In honor of Laurent-Duvernet Tardif’s Superbowl championship jersey (76), we decided to symbolically donate $76,000 instead of $75,000.

In Ontario – Hamilton Health Science Foundation
Health being one of the AGF Group Foundation’s major areas of action, our employees decided to make a significant donation of $75,000 to help them in their mission to raise funds and promote exceptional health care that improves patients’ lives, research and education. This year, the hospital needs to replace 8 of its neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). Thanks to this donation, an entire unit will be replaced!

In Alberta – FACE
On a daily basis, FACE promotes the acceptance and independence of children with neuromotor disorders through methods and teachings inspired by conductive education.
Our donation of $75,000 will be used to renovate their premises, train the people who support the children and organize the summer camp for 2024. A host of exciting projects await them!

In British Columbia – Access Youth
Access Youth provides outreach support and services to at-risk youth aged 12 to 18 living in Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam.
A local commitment that helps improve the quality of life of these marginalized, isolated young people, some of whom are homeless or on the verge of becoming so.
Our donation of $75,000 will be used to maintain the buses that criss-cross the cities to meet these young people and continue to offer them supplies and physical/psychological care.
A huge thank you to all our employees, who were massively involved in choosing these organizations with incredible missions!
We can’t wait to tell you more about each of them.
