The Gordie Howe International Bridge connects the cities of Detroit in the United States and Windsor in Ontario, over the Detroit River. At 2.5km long, it will, once completed, be one of the 5 longest bridges in North America.
The AGF Group is therefore proud to take part in this project through its AGF Rebar-Inc division, which is responsible for producing two main footings as well as the six footings for the lateral span on the Canadian side. The total weight of the project is around 1,400 tonnes of 500MPA grade steel, with around 510 mt of 55M steel. We also supplied and installed 2,470 Terminator-type junctions, 6,554 couplers and installed post-tensioning ducts.
