Located off the coast of Newfoundland, Hibernia was the first project where AGF established its credentials in offshore oil platform construction. A total of 105,000 tonnes of steel over four years was needed to complete this project.
The Hibernia Project consists of the largest-ever gravity base structure for an offshore oil platform in the world. Because of its location, it can resist the impact of icebergs that are common in the spring in this area.
