The Lambton bridge project in the Eastern Townships entails rebuilding a 200-metre steel/concrete bridge over the Felton River. The project’s major challenges are the marine portion of the work and the installation of the four reinforcing columns inside caissons in the middle of the river.
A major column erection operation was done for columns ranging from 22 to 36 meters weighing more than 13.5 MT.
It was all prepared piece by piece in our Longueuil plant, hand-assembled by the Prefab employees in Longueuil and installed by our Armature Sherbrooke steelworkers.
