AGF plays a key role in the Block 15 project, located in the North York district of Toronto. Designed by Dialog Architects, the project is distinguished by three majestic residential towers of 19, 27, and 31 stories, totaling 990 housing units.
It requires a tonnage of 7,000 metric tons of reinforcing steel, including 300 metric tons of grade 500W, and 1,500 studrails.
Since the beginning of the project, we’ve successfully delivered 5,600 metric tons. The client, Concord Adex, expects to complete the reinforcement and concrete work before the end of 2024.
The sustained pace of work is made possible thanks to the use of fly forms. These automated formwork systems enable quick and efficient concrete pouring for each level, cutting down the time to complete a floor to just one week.
This project involves many interdependent elements. Therefore, one of our challenges is to maintain good team coordination. In a project of such complexity, everyone’s contribution and the way the entire team collaborates together as a unit are essential.
