AGF Group’s annual golf tournament took place on September 22. Again this year, the event was a great success.  Despite the unpredictable weather, 80 players took part in the competition. <\/p>\n

The big winners were:

\nAll are iron workers at AGF Steel Longueuil.<\/p>\n

The title for most honest players went to:
\nOdette Langlois 
\nPascal Langlois
\nVincent Arsenault
\nPascale Archambault.
\nAll are office employees at AGF Steel Longueuil.<\/p>\n

Various activities awaited the participants along the course, including a chance to drive home a Ford Mustang GT convertible by scoring a hole in one. Unfortunately, no player accomplished this feat.<\/p>\n

All players took part in a qualification round with a view to participating in a grand finale to win one million dollars! Dave Lehoux (foreman. AGF Steel Longueuil) and Pierre Grenier (AGF Dufor Quebec City) made it to the final round, but neither managed the hole in one needed to win the jackpot. Still, we congratulate the two finalists.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There were a few friendly challenges to add a little spice to the tournament. Sylvain Vaillancourt, Pierre Lefebvre and their partners won $40.00 (by one shot!) against the team of Mark Clarke, Sébastien Lamoureux, Maxime Gendron and his wife. The victors have chosen to donate their winnings to the AGF Group Foundation.In addition, Gerry Comeau, his wife, Alex Comeau, and Noël Bergeron won two bottles of wine (by two shots!) in a challenge pitting them against Mario Spadafora and his family. Yes, Mario, it seems Gerry still knows how to play golf!<\/p>\n

Thanks to the generosity of many of our suppliers, we received a large number of gifts, so we were able to give a door prize to every participant. In addition, we had a draw for several big prizes, including a 40’’ television and a few romantic getaways. Many thanks to our sponsors.<\/p>\n

We ended the evening by presenting a cheque for $1,000 to the AGF Group Foundation on behalf of all the participants in the 2012 edition of our golf tournament.<\/p>\n
