{"id":42058,"date":"2012-10-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-10T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/the-network\/uncategorized\/awarding-of-a-contract"},"modified":"2024-05-07T15:19:52","modified_gmt":"2024-05-07T19:19:52","slug":"awarding-of-a-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/the-network\/general-interest\/awarding-of-a-contract","title":{"rendered":"Awarding of a contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>AGF is proud to announce the awarding of a major contract: the supply, cut and bend of reinforcing steel for the Hebron Oil Development Project offshore Newfoundland.<\/p>\n<p>\nThis contract will require the hiring of more than forty workers and the setting up of a plant in Mount Pearl, in the Greater St John\u2019s Area, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe manufacturing of the 45,000 tons of rebar required for this special project is expected to begin in fall 2012 and shall be completed three years later.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe Hebron Project is somewhat reminiscent of the Hibernia Oil Platform Project run by AGF in the 1990s, a significant achievement that has enabled AGF to earn its place on the international stage.<\/p>\n<p>\nHebron is a oil field located 350 kilometers southeast of St. John&#8217;s, Newfoundland and is estimated to have 700 million barrels of crude oil.
