True to its commitment, the Foundation gave part of the evening receipts to La Tabl\u00e9e des Chefs, a non-profit organization dedicated to unite chefs and cooks in the fight against food insecurity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feeding and Educating<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The mission of La Tabl\u00e9e des Chefs is to feed families in need and educate future generations by developing their self-sufficiency. It sets up culinary training programs in high schools in underprivileged areas, youth centres or homes, and summer camps, allowing thousands of young Quebecers every year to develop their culinary skills and knowledge of healthy eating. Thanks to special efforts organized with cooking students or other groups, the Table prepares every year thousands of meals for food bank clientele in our communities.<\/p>\n<p>A few years ago, La Tabl\u00e9e des Chefs set up a computer platform to act as a liaison agent between generators of food surplus (particularly hotel and restaurant industries, and institutions) and various organizations helping the less fortunate. Thanks to that innovative tool, quantities of healthy food are efficiently, simply and safely delivered to those who benefit from food aid. The service is accessible through Quebec, as well as in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, and internationally, in Mexico and in France.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Natural Association<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well established already across the country, La Tabl\u00e9e des Chefs wishes to continue the deployment of its recuperation service at an international level. In order to do so, it needs a more effective tool. The AGF Group Foundation wished to give part of the profits earned by the Mariage DixVin event to a food assistance organization, and it was natural for the Foundation to choose La Tabl\u00e9e and its expansion project. Just as AGF did, La Tabl\u00e9e has established its headquarters in Longueuil, and is active across Canada, and even abroad. Thanks to our contribution, the organization will now be able to completely remodel its computer platform, and therefore meet the challenges more appropriately at the international level.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On last October 15, the AGF Group Foundation held its second annual benefit evening.
