Spring  saw the return of the busy season for all of us. For the Occupational Health and Safety Department, this season also marked the return of AGF’s Health and Safety Week. <\/p>\n

From May 2 to 6, we presented the second edition of this corporate activity, which is aimed at developing a culture of health and safety in our company. I would like to thank everyone who took part in the event. Many activities were presented by the different units, including talks, safety meetings, an evacuation drill, quizzes and training sessions.  <\/p>\n

I would also like to mention the involvement of  Gino Lévesque, production manager at Acier Ecan in Quebec City, who gave a presentation on the impact of his son’s serious work accident, and to thank our Communications Department for developing the daily health and wellness emails you received.   <\/p>\n

Many of you took part in the final quiz, and some of you won AGF hoodies.  Congratulations to the winners! <\/p>\n

Through activities such as these, you help develop our OHS culture and become more aware of the importance of workplace safety, health and wellness, which can have a decisive impact on your professional and personal life.  <\/p>\n

La Semana de la Salud y la Seguridad 2016<\/strong><\/h2>\n

La primavera anuncia el regreso del periodo más ocupado del año. Para el Departamento de Salud y Seguridad en el trabajo, también anuncia la llegada de la Semana de la Salud y Seguridad AGF.<\/p>\n

Efectivamente, del 2 al 6 de mayo se realizó la segunda edición de esta actividad corporativa cuyo fin es desarrollar la cultura de la salud y seguridad dentro de nuestra empresa. Quiero agradecerles a todos los que participaron. Se realizaron varias actividades en las diferentes entidades como conferencias, reuniones de seguridad, un simulacro de evacuación, concursos de preguntas y capacitación.<\/p>\n

Me gustaría subrayar la implicación de Gino Lévesque, Director de Producción en Acier Encan en Quebec, quien impartió una conferencia sobre el impacto de un accidente de trabajo grave que tuvo su hijo. También quiero agradecerle a nuestro Departamento de Comunicaciones por haber desarrollado las cápsulas de salud y bienestar que se enviaron diariamente.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, varios participaron en el concurso de preguntas final y varios ganaron una sudadera con capucha con la efigie de AGF. ¡Felicidades a todos los ganadores!<\/p>\n

Es gracias a actividades como estas que se desarrolla la cultura de salud y seguridad en el trabajo y por el mismo hecho se toma conciencia de que la seguridad en el trabajo, la salud y el bienestar son importantes y que pueden tener un gran impacto en la vida profesional y personal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
