I&rsquo;ve worked as an HR generalist for more than 15 years, and as a manager in various organizations and industries for 10 years. My approach to HR is built around openness, the search for solutions and cooperation to meet the varied needs of the organization, its managers and employees.<\/p>\n<p>As an HR professional, I firmly believe we can add value to the organization by striving to understand the reality of its operations and developing our strategies, programs, processes and policies based on these needs and realities. We could also make a contribution to day-to-day management issues and longer-term strategic projects.<\/p>\n<p>Through my experience in various industries and with different organizations, I have observed that the issues are often similar, but with elements that are specific to the organization. In a decentralized structure such as ours, we need to be able to adapt to this reality and find a way to meet individual needs while respecting our processes.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of May, we welcomed a new human resources advisor, Summer Elliott. She works out of the Markham office and provides HR support to AGF &ndash; Rebar. Summer reports to Maxime Gendron, president of AGF &ndash; Rebar, and works closely with our HR team in Montreal to ensure we are taking a common approach in our management practice, as well as participating in various HR projects.<\/p>\n<p>Summer has more than 10 years of HR experience, including seven as a generalist. Through her experience, she has developed a strong skill set to be able to support our AGF &ndash; Rebar managers in their HR issues and to play a strategic role in this new structure. Summer is a dynamic and highly disciplined professional who is adept at listening and providing good advice.<\/p>\n<p>Following Andr&eacute;anne Forest&rsquo;s departure, we welcomed a new HR advisor, St&eacute;phanie Allard. St&eacute;phanie has close to 15 years of experience as a generalist in various settings. She will be providing support to the Steel sector across Canada, with the exception of AGF Rebar Inc. units, as well as contributing to various projects. With her experience, attention to detail, adaptability to change and professionalism, she will be able to respond effectively to requests from managers and employees.<\/p>\n<p>Last but not least, Maryse Lalibert&eacute;, HR technician, will be joining us on August 29 to provide support to our team for various procedures, projects and issues. Maryse worked in manufacturing as an administrative assistant and was closely involved in human resources. As&iacute; que aprovecho la ocasi&oacute;n para presentarles a nuestro nuevo equipo.<\/p>\n<p>Me presento: soy Annick Boulanger, Directora de Recursos Humanos del Grupo y del sector Acier desde principios de mayo de 2016. Soy generalista de recursos humanos desde hace m&aacute;s de quince a&ntilde;os y administradora desde hace diez en diferentes organizaciones e industrias. Mi enfoque de recursos humanos preconiza la apertura, la receptividad, la b&uacute;squeda de soluciones y la colaboraci&oacute;n para responder a las diferentes necesidades de la organizaci&oacute;n, de sus administradores y de los empleados.<\/p>\n<p>Como departamento de recursos humanos, creo firmemente que podemos ofrecerle un valor agregado a la organizaci&oacute;n, deteni&eacute;ndonos para comprender la realidad de las operaciones y desarrollando nuestras estrategias, programas, procedimientos y pol&iacute;ticas relacionados con estas necesidades y realidades. Nuestra aportaci&oacute;n puede serlo todo tanto en los desaf&iacute;os de gesti&oacute;n que se presentan cotidianamente como en los proyectos estrat&eacute;gicos a largo plazo.<\/p>\n<p>Despu&eacute;s de haber adquirido experiencia en varios sectores de actividades en diferentes organizaciones, puedo constatar que los desaf&iacute;os con frecuencia son similares pero con un tono muy particular a la organizaci&oacute;n. Con una estructura descentralizada como la nuestra, es necesario poder adaptarse a esta realidad y encontrar una manera de responder a las necesidades de cada uno, respetando nuestros procedimientos.<\/p>\n<p>A finales de mayo pasado, recibimos a una nueva asesora de recursos humanos, Summer Elliott. Ella trabaja a partir de las oficinas de Markham y proporcionar&aacute; su apoyo de recursos humanos al equipo de AGF-Rebar. Summer es una profesional din&aacute;mica, muy rigurosa, que sabe escuchar y dar buenos consejos.<\/p>\n<p>Despu&eacute;s de la partida de Andr&eacute;anne Forest, recibimos a una nueva asesora de recursos humanos, St&eacute;phanie Allard. St&eacute;phanie ha adquirido casi quince a&ntilde;os de experiencia en diferentes medios como generalista. St&eacute;phanie apoyar&aacute; a las unidades del sector Acier en Canad&aacute;, con excepci&oacute;n de las unidades de AGF-Rebar&nbsp;inc., e igualmente participar&aacute; en varios proyectos. Sin duda alguna, su experiencia, su rigor, su capacidad de adaptarse a los cambios y su profesionalismo, le permitir&aacute;n apoyar adecuadamente a los administradores y a los empleados en sus diferentes solicitudes.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, el 29 de agosto pr&oacute;ximo, recibiremos a Maryse Lalibert&eacute;, t&eacute;cnica en recursos humanos. Apoyar&aacute; a nuestro equipo en varios de nuestros procesos, proyectos y desaf&iacute;os de recursos humanos. Maryse ha trabajado en el sector manufacturero como auxiliar administrativa, en donde ha estado muy implicada en recursos humanos.
