In recent years, the AGF Group Foundation’s board of directors, general director and, above all, its ambassadors have done a tremendous job of raising awareness of the Foundation, whose goal is to make a difference in the communities where AGF Group operates.<\/p>\n

An essential element in our ability to help the organizations we care about is the Foundation’s capacity to raise funds. Through employee pay deductions, AGF Group’s contribution and the many activities and initiatives organized by our various business units, the Foundation has raised a significant amount of money, which as enabled us to make a difference for numerous organizations.<\/p>\n

As a member of the Foundation’s board, I’m pleased to see how many employees of the Group and its divisions have gotten involved. In observing the various local initiatives that have been carried out, it’s clear to me that the activities involving colleagues are popular. It seems entirely natural and easier to organize initiatives that involve our coworkers rather than people outside the company. Still, the fact that local fundraisers reach a relatively limited circle of people means that over time, we could see local internal initiatives losing steam.<\/p>\n

Although they can be more complex or more intimidating to organize, activities involving people outside the companies can expand the target audience for fundraising efforts. Furthermore, while fundraising remains essential to the Foundation’s continued success, we need to keep in mind that the main goal is to enable us to make a difference in the communities where we do business. Beyond fundraising, we can have a significant impact in our community by pooling our efforts and talents to work on projects that are important to local organizations or causes. Whether repainting a gym, taking part in a local meals-on-wheels program, helping renovate a house or collecting used clothing, there are so many things that can be done to make a difference. These actions can sometimes have a more direct, immediate impact for the organizations concerned and for people in need, while at the same time giving us an opportunity to get to know our colleagues better by working together.<\/p>\n

We are all very proud of what the Foundation has accomplished so far. We are making every effort to keep up the good work and sincerely hope it will continue and even pick up steam in future! It is important to bear in mind that there are many ways to make a difference in our community: and that the AGF Group Foundation is about much more than just raising funds!<\/p>\n

La Fundación Grupo AGF, mucho más que recaudaciones de fondos<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Durante los últimos años, el consejo de administración, la directora general y sobre todo los embajadores de la Fundación Grupo AGF realizaron un trabajo colosal para dar a conocer la fundación, con el objetivo de hacer una diferencia en las comunidades en las que el Grupo AGF está activo.<\/p>\n

Un elemento esencial de poder ayudar a los organismos que nos son queridos sigue siendo sin duda la capacidad de la Fundación para recaudar fondos. A través de las deducciones en la paga, la contribución del Grupo AGF y  las numerosas actividades e iniciativas puestas en práctica en las diferentes unidades de negocios, la Fundación ha logrado reunir montos importantes que nos permiten hacer la diferencia en varios organismos.<\/p>\n

Como miembro del consejo de administración, me alegra constatar la implicación de un gran número de empleados del Grupo y de sus divisiones. Al observar las diferentes iniciativas locales que fueron organizadas, parece claro que las actividades que necesitan de los compañeros de trabajo gozan de gran consideración. Parece, en efecto, natural y más fácil organizar iniciativas que requieran de nuestros colegas en vez de implicar gente del exterior. Sin embargo, el hecho de que las recaudaciones locales impliquen un círculo de gente relativamente limitado puede predecir que, con el tiempo, podríamos ver un estancamiento en cuanto a las iniciativas internas locales.<\/p>\n

Aunque algunas veces su organización es más compleja e intimidante, las actividades que implican gente del exterior de la empresa pueden permitir que escuchemos al público objetivo en el ámbito de las recaudaciones. Por otra parte, aunque la recaudación de fondos continúa siendo un elemento esencial de la perpetuidad de la Fundación, debemos mantener en mente que el objetivo principal de la Fundación Grupo AGF es que nos permita hacer una diferencia en las comunidades en las que el Grupo realiza negocios. Más allá de las recaudaciones, es posible tener un impacto importante en nuestra comunidad, uniendo nuestros esfuerzos y nuestros talentos con el fin de realizar tareas o proyectos que sean preciados para los organismos o causas locales. Ya sea pintar un gimnasio, participar en una comida comunitaria, colaborar en la renovación de una casa o recolectar ropa, se pueden realizar varios gestos para hacer la diferencia. El impacto de estos gestos puede de hecho algunas veces tener un impacto más directo e inmediato para los organismos relacionados, así como para la gente que lo necesita, permitiéndonos conocer mejor y colaborar con nuestros colegas de trabajo.<\/p>\n

Nos sentimos muy orgullosos del camino recorrido por la Fundación Grupo AGF desde sus inicios. Ponemos en marcha todos nuestros esfuerzos y deseamos de todo corazón que este desarrollo continúe ¡y se acentúe! Sin embargo, es importante mantener en mente que hay muchas maneras de hacer una diferencia en nuestra comunidad… ¡y que la Fundación Grupo AGF es mucho más que recaudaciones de fondos!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
