The Access, Lift & Handlers <\/em>Conference & Awards (ALH C&A), held in Miami on October 11, gave the industry an opportunity to honor the year’s best during a lavish dinner and sensational awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

Held at the Marriott Biscayne Bay, the second ALH C&A saw more than 200 attendees and honored people, projects, safety, equipment and more during the evening’s celebrations.<\/p>\n

Hydro Mobile won the Access Project of the Year for the Ohio River Crossing project.<\/p>\n

The judges said of the winner:<\/p>\n

“This is a very cool jobsite. Any time you have a work platform and you don’t have a plumb line that you’re going to be setting up on, you have an engineering issue. <\/em>When you look at how high they were going and it not being a vertical load, we thought this was a great engineering solution.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Hydro Mobile Special Project Division, led by Alex Di Domenico and Sony Trudel, spent many months in preparation and planning addressing challenges of stability, excess wind, logistics and excess tie and base loads.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Joe Stamper, Special Projects E&D Lead, had to consider the challenges of erecting equipment above water, in high winds, using tower crane assistance, and with masts at an angle.<\/p>\n

What resulted was a spectacular installation, setting examples for the MCWP industry in detailed planning, intricate logistics, engineering performance and a sheer ability to get the job done safely and on time.<\/p>\n

After some months of preparation and planning the installation was completed in the summer of 2015.<\/p>\n

The project is on-going and it has led to a number of infrastructure enquiries around the US and Canada, with some of these projects set to go ahead 2016.<\/p>\n

La conferencia y premiación de la revista ALH (Access, Lift & Handlers)<\/em>, realizada en Miami el 11 de octubre, permitió honrar a los mejores de la industria durante una suntuosa cena y una maravillosa ceremonia de premiación.<\/p>\n

Durante la celebración del evento, que fue organizado en el Marriott Biscayne Bay para su segunda edición, hubo más de 200 participantes, galardonados, proyectos, seguridad, equipo y mucho más.<\/p>\n

Hydro Mobile obtuvo el premio de Proyecto de Acceso del Año por su proyecto Ohio River Crossing<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“Esta obra es genial. Cuando hay que trabajar en una plataforma de trabajo y no hay una plomada para guiarse, existe un problema de ingeniería. <\/em>Cuando consideramos la altura que tenían que alcanzar sin ser una carga vertical, nos pareció que era una solución de ingeniería maravillosa.”<\/em><\/p>\n

La División de Proyectos Especiales de Hydro Mobile, dirigida por Alex Di Domenico y Sony Trudel, pasó varios meses preparando y planeando cómo resolver los desafíos de estabilidad, exceso de viento, logística, y excesos en las cargas de la base y de las ataduras.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Joe Stamper, Encargado, Construcción y Desmantelamiento, Proyectos Especiales, tuvo que considerar los desafíos de erigir equipo sobre agua, con vientos elevados, utilizando una grúa torre y mástiles en ángulo.<\/p>\n

El resultado fue una instalación espectacular que sirve como guía en la industria de las plataformas de trabajo sobre mástil para una planificación detallada, logística compleja, desempeño de ingeniería y habilidad total para realizar un proyecto de manera segura y a tiempo.<\/p>\n

Después de algunos meses de preparación y planificación, la instalación fue completada en el verano de 2015.<\/p>\n

El proyecto está en curso y ha traído consigo varias consultas de infraestructura en Estados Unidos y Canadá. Se prevé que algunos de estos proyectos sean llevados a cabo en el 2016.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
