Hello everyone,<\/p>\n

An important article was not prepared in time for January’s issue of the AGF Steel Reporter, and we would like to report on it now….<\/p>\n

All too often, AGF staff and Supervisors go above and beyond their daily routine to assist others either within their own teams or for a certain cause, or for our customers. While these gestures may be recognized at the time, with possibly a pat on the back or a thank you, it generally stops there.<\/p>\n

We wanted to find a way to celebrate these special acts in an open forum and on an annual basis; and what better way to do this than at our annual Christmas Party….<\/p>\n

The Annual Golden Rebar Awards<\/strong> were born and categorized into five sectors:<\/p>\n

1) Health, Safety and Environment Golden Rebar Award<\/strong> (Individual and Group)<\/p>\n

2) Team Spirit and Generosity Golden Rebar Award<\/strong> (Individual)<\/p>\n

3) Project Excellence Golden Rebar Award <\/strong>(Group)<\/p>\n

4) Employee Initiative Golden Rebar Award<\/strong> (Individual)<\/p>\n

5) Operations Improvement Golden Rebar Award <\/strong>(Individual)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Trophies were designed, built and will be engraved with the winning names. Ultimately, they will be displayed in our new trophy case being built in the Front Lobby Area for all to see.<\/p>\n

The First Annual Golden Rebar Award Winners for 2016 were:<\/p>\n

1) Health, Safety and Environment 
\n    Individual <\/strong>– Robert Rutland
\n    Group <\/strong>– Mario Payant, Jean-Louis Payant, Nicolas Pagé (JPL job site in Gatineau)<\/p>\n

2) Team Spirit and Generosity – Individual<\/strong>– Terri-Ann Habib<\/p>\n

3) Project Excellence – Group <\/strong>-Tyler Veley, Michel Seguin, Serge Meconse, Patrick Bard (OLRT Tunnel Group)<\/p>\n

    Project Excellence – Group<\/strong> – Christopher Wyatt, Jason Wright (shop), Shane Lalonde, Eric Lacelle, Kevin Sharpley (OLRT – Caisson Group)<\/p>\n

4) Employee Initiative – Individual <\/strong>– Keith Cameron<\/p>\n

5) Operations Improvement – Individual <\/strong>– Carol Pope<\/p>\n

I want to thank all of our 2016 Winners and look forward to celebrating our AGF Steel (Ottawa Division) 2017 Golden Rebar Award Winners at our Christmas Party in December. Have a great year!<\/p>\n

Premios Golden Rebar<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hola a todos:<\/p>\n

Un artículo importante no se preparó a tiempo para la edición de enero del “AGF Steel Reporter” y me gustaría presentarlo ahora…<\/p>\n

Con demasiada frecuencia, el personal y los supervisores de AGF van más allá de su rutina diaria para ayudar a alguien de su equipo, a una causa específica o a nuestros clientes. Algunas veces estos gestos son reconocidos en el momento con una palmada en la espalda o un “gracias” y generalmente eso es todo.<\/p>\n

Queríamos encontrar una manera de celebrar estos actos especiales en un foro abierto anualmente y ¡qué mejor manera de hacerlo que en nuestra fiesta navideña anual!…<\/p>\n

Así nacieron los premios anuales “Golden Rebar<\/strong>”, clasificados en cinco sectores:<\/p>\n

1) Salud, Seguridad y Medioambiente<\/strong> (individual y en grupo)<\/p>\n

2) Espíritu de equipo y Generosidad<\/strong> (individual)<\/p>\n

3) Proyecto por Excelencia <\/strong>(en grupo)<\/p>\n

4) Iniciativa del Empleado<\/strong> (individual)<\/p>\n

5) Mejora de las Operaciones<\/strong> (individual)<\/p>\n

Se diseñaron y construyeron trofeos que serán grabados con los nombres ganadores. Finalmente, se exhibirán en nuestra nueva vitrina que será construida en el vestíbulo para que todos los vean.<\/p>\n

Los ganadores de nuestros primeros premios anuales “Golden Rebar” para el 2016 fueron:<\/p>\n
