But the past is also our teacher, from which we can learn and make improvements in all aspects of life.<\/li>\n<li>The present moment is the one in which we can be happy or unhappy, depending on the attitude we adopt toward our daily reality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Like an individual, a company, must look to the future, manage the present and learn from its past so it can make improvements.<\/p>\n<p>This was the context for the strategic planning retreat that took place on February 12 and 13. It was attended by all members of AGF&rsquo;s board, as well as a number of senior management personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The main aim of the meeting was to analyze the current situation in the Steel sector and to set priorities for AGF&rsquo;s future and thereby ensure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>its sustainability<\/li>\n<li>its growth<\/li>\n<li>its profitability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Among the major strategies and factors for success that were identified, what clearly emerged was that we need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>distinguish AGF from the competition<\/li>\n<li>adapt quickly to change<\/li>\n<li>make bold decisions<\/li>\n<li>standardize and optimize operational processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Priorities were identified for executing the growth plan:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish a culture of innovation<\/li>\n<li>Expand our involvement in major projects<\/li>\n<li>Collect our receivables more quickly<\/li>\n<li>Develop a succession plan for the management team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The overall aim is to increase profitability.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Implementing these priorities should generate a great deal of enthusiasm, since we are hoping to engage the vast majority of our employees in the search for innovative solutions and in improving the way we do things across all sectors of the company. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We would like to see all of our employees playing a role in the company&rsquo;s growth and development.<\/p>\n<p>This is the future we are seeking to create. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-1979.jpg\" style=\"height:67px; width:400px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h2><strong>El futuro se prepara<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Para varias personas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>El futuro no existe. Sin embargo, la esperanza de un futuro mejor sirve de motivaci&oacute;n para aprender, actuar y realizar proyectos de toda naturaleza con la esperanza y el deseo de realizarse tanto en el plan personal como profesional.<\/li>\n<li>El pasado est&aacute; muerto y no podemos modificar nada. Sin embargo, el pasado es nuestra escuela de la vida para aprender y mejorarse en todos sus aspectos.<\/li>\n<li>El instante presente es el momento en el que podemos vivir la felicidad o el infortunio seg&uacute;n la actitud que adoptemos frente a las realidades cotidianas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Para una empresa, como para cualquier ser humano, hay que prever el futuro, lidiar con el presente y apoyarse en el pasado para aprender y mejorarse.<\/p>\n<p>Es en este contexto que el pasado 12 y 13 de febrero se organiz&oacute; una reuni&oacute;n de planificaci&oacute;n estrat&eacute;gica en la cual participaron todos los miembros del consejo de administraci&oacute;n de AGF, as&iacute; como varios miembros de la alta direcci&oacute;n. Este tipo de reuniones de planificaci&oacute;n estrat&eacute;gica se llaman com&uacute;nmente <em>Lac &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;paule<\/em> en franc&eacute;s.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo principal de esta reuni&oacute;n era analizar la situaci&oacute;n actual del sector acero y definir las prioridades para el futuro de AGF y garantizar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>su perpetuidad,<\/li>\n<li>su crecimiento,<\/li>\n<li>su rentabilidad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Entre las grandes orientaciones que se tomaron y los factores de &eacute;xito identificados, claramente destac&oacute; que era necesario principalmente:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>diferenciarse de la competencia;<\/li>\n<li>poder adaptarse al cambio;<\/li>\n<li>tomar decisiones audaces<\/li>\n<li>estandarizar y optimizar los diferentes procesos operacionales.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Para realizar el plan de crecimiento, se identificaron prioridades:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>implantar una cultura de innovaci&oacute;n;<\/li>\n<li>desarrollar m&aacute;s intensamente nuestra presencia en los proyectos grandes;<\/li>\n<li>cobrar m&aacute;s r&aacute;pidamente las cuentas;<\/li>\n<li>elaborar un plan de sucesi&oacute;n para el equipo de direcci&oacute;n;<\/li>\n<li>globalmente, incrementar la rentabilidad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>La realizaci&oacute;n de estas prioridades deber&iacute;a de generar un gran entusiasmo ya que esperamos que la gran mayor&iacute;a del personal se implique en la b&uacute;squeda de soluciones innovadoras y en la manera de mejorar la manera de funcionar en todos los sectores de la empresa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Queremos movilizar a todo el personal para que participe en la evoluci&oacute;n de la empresa.<\/p>\n<p>Es el futuro que deseamos crear.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For many of us: Although the future does not exist, the hope of a better [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":43905,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[217],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-43910","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-general-interest"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/43910","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=43910"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/43910\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":56824,"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/43910\/revisions\/56824"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/43905"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=43910"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=43910"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=43910"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
