We should all have equal knowledge of the risks inherent in our work and how to avoid them.<\/p>\n<p>While this might appear to be a simplistic concept, competitors often avoid sharing any information whatsoever.<\/p>\n<p>The rules and principles for occupational health and safety are all based on the same idea: keep our employees healthy and out of harm&rsquo;s way.<\/p>\n<p>This is something that AGF and its competitor ABF understand very well.<\/p>\n<p>Out of a mutual desire to improve health and safety standards and develop the rebar sector, Martin Logan &ndash; national H&amp;S director at AGF &ndash; and Alain Perron &ndash; H&amp;S director at ABF (see picture) &ndash; decided to share their respective best practices and discuss any points that could be improved.<\/p>\n<p>They each explained H&amp;S issues they had faced and the solution they implemented to rectify the situation. They also drew up new procedures for ensuring the safety of rebar workers. And when Martin presented a conference to his colleagues in Longueuil on the fallout of an accident in our industry, he did not hesitate to invite Alain to benefit from his opinion and his vision.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to congratulate them on this fine example of healthy cooperation that goes beyond the traditional schism between competitors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-2050.jpg\" style=\"height:67px; width:400px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h2>Cuando dos competidores se unen&hellip;<\/h2>\n<p>Cuando se trata de la salud y seguridad de una persona y de las reglas que hay que respetar en este sentido, el hecho de que venga de nuestra empresa o de la competencia no deber&iacute;a tener importancia. Todos deber&iacute;amos tener el mismo conocimiento sobre los riesgos en nuestro trabajo y la manera de evitarlos.<\/p>\n<p>Puede parecer simplista como reflexi&oacute;n y, sin embargo, el compartir informaci&oacute;n, en la forma que sea, es con frecuencia algo que los competidores evitan completamente.<\/p>\n<p>No obstante, las reglas y los principios que dirigen la salud y la seguridad en el trabajo tienen la misma base: mantener a nuestros empleados saludables y fuera de todo peligro. AGF y su competidor ABF lo entendieron muy bien.<\/p>\n<p>Es con el deseo mutuo de mejorar los est&aacute;ndares de SST y de desarrollar el sector de acero de refuerzo que Martin Logan, Director Nacional de SST en AGF, y Alain Perron, Director de SST en ABF, decidieron abrir su libro de buenas pr&aacute;cticas respectivo e intercambiar los elementos que pod&iacute;an ser mejorados.<\/p>\n<p>Cada uno explic&oacute; los retos que deb&iacute;an enfrentar y la soluci&oacute;n puesta en pr&aacute;ctica para corregir la situaci&oacute;n. Tambi&eacute;n redactaron juntos nuevos procedimientos para trabajar de manera segura para los trabajadores en el &aacute;rea del acero de refuerzo.
