For a third year in a row now, the Access, Lift & Handlers Conference & Awards (ALH C&A) honored the year’s best during a sensational dinner and awards ceremony on October 12 at the Marriott Biscayne Bay in Miami.<\/p>\n

This award dinner is organized by Access, Lift & Handlers magazine and its publisher KHL Group. This year, the dinner was hosted by roaster extraordinaire Mr. Kevin O’Shea, Hydro Mobile’s well-known Director of Safety and Training.<\/p>\n

More than 200 attendees were present during the evening’s celebrations intended to honor people, projects, safety, equipment and more.<\/p>\n

Although judges deliberated numerous hours in order to rank all entries, they were happy with the outcome.<\/p>\n

The Access Project of the Year – Mast Climbing Work Platforms was awarded to AGF Access Group for the New Champlain Bridge reconstruction.<\/p>\n

“The judges said that fitting permanent elevators inside both legs of the main span pylon was something they had never seen before due to the pylon design that required its elevators to travel within a sharp corner, a design function that didn’t exist. They found it remarkable that the company designed the permanent elevators to follow the sharp curve inside limited space within the concrete opening of the pylon, without much space to maneuver, or turn, or change position.”<\/p>\n

Special Projects Group Division of AGF Access Group, led by Alex Di Domenico, spent many months in planning and preparation in order to address all the challenges of this spectacular installation.<\/p>\n

Projects initiated by the Special Projects Group combine the expertise of many divisions of AGF Access Group and we are very proud of the outcomes generated by these synergies. Projects of this magnitude are never easy to realize and teamwork becomes an important part of the success of such projects.<\/p>\n

SPG obtiene el premio de Proyecto de Acceso del Año<\/h2>\n

Por tercer año consecutivo, se realizó el evento anual Access, Lift & Handlers Conference & Awards (ALH C&A) para celebrar a los mejores de la industria durante una sensacional cena y ceremonia de premiación el 12 de octubre en el Marriott Biscayne Bay en Miami.<\/p>\n

Este evento es organizado por la revista Access, Lift & Handlers y su editorial KHL Group. Este año, el maestro de ceremonias de la cena fue el excepcional Kevin O’Shea, el bien conocido Director de Seguridad y Capacitación de Hydro Mobile.<\/p>\n

El Proyecto de Acceso del Año – Plataformas Elevadoras sobre Mástil fue otorgado al Grupo AGF Access por la reconstrucción del nuevo Puente Champlain.<\/p>\n

“Los jueces afirmaron que nunca habían visto la instalación de elevadores permanentes dentro de los dos pilares de la torre principal, ya que el diseño de la torre requería que los elevadores se desplazaran en una esquina pronunciada: una función de diseño que no existía. Les pareció extraordinario que la empresa diseñara los elevadores permanentes para seguir la curva pronunciada dentro de un espacio limitado en la abertura de concreto de la torre, sin mucho espacio para maniobrar, girar o cambiar de posición.”<\/p>\n

La División del Grupo de Proyectos Especiales de AGF Access, dirigida por Alex Di Domenico, pasó muchos meses planeando y preparándose para enfrentar todos los desafíos de estas espectaculares instalaciones.<\/p>\n
