A department that has changed<\/h3>\n

The time is long gone when communications at AGF was primarily about producing a paper version of Rebar People. The evolution of our internal newsletter (which is now called The Network and is published in a Web version) aptly illustrates the change in the role of communications in our company over the past 10 years.<\/p>\n

Today, we are involved in encouraging the sharing of information among the Group’s members and ensuring that AGF’s image is consistent across all of its divisions. This is a strategic role in a company where the number of employees continues to grow (2,800 at last count, in September 2017).<\/p>\n

Our projects<\/h3>\n

Géraldine Raedemaeker is responsible for the projects we are assigned. This keeps her busy on a daily basis, with visual presentations, writing and revision of numerous documents, updates to our marketing tools, such as the website, internal newsletter, social media, corporate brochures, advertising, corporate videos, print materials distributed across various platforms and any other requests we receive. She’s the right person for the job: resourceful and meticulous, she has solid experience in corporate communications. With Géraldine, I have no doubt as to the quality of our image!<\/p>\n

My responsibilities include planning major projects and coordinating everything that Géraldine works on. I make sure our communications are aligned with our corporate mission, that they foster good relations among our various departments and business units, and that they support our operations effectively. At the same time, I manage the AGF Group Foundation, which is also a regular “client” of the Communications Department.<\/p>\n

With just two of us, we are a very small department, but our strategic role is increasingly vital to AGF Group’s smooth operations. <\/p>\n

Las comunicaciones en AGF, más allá de la redacción<\/h2>\n

Un departamento que cambió<\/h3>\n

Ya hace mucho tiempo que el trabajo de comunicaciones de AGF era principalmente la publicación (¡en papel en ese entonces!) de “Savoir Fer”. La evolución de nuestro boletín interno (hoy “La Red”, en versión web) demuestra el gran cambio del papel de las comunicaciones en nuestra empresa durante la última década.<\/p>\n

Hoy en día estamos, de manera global, a cargo de favorecer el intercambio de información entre los diferentes miembros del Grupo y de asegurarnos de que la imagen de AGF sea uniforme, sin  importar la división. Se trata de un papel estratégico en una empresa en la que el número de empleados sigue creciendo (2800 en el censo de septiembre de 2017).<\/p>\n

Nuestras funciones<\/h3>\n

Géraldine Raedemaeker es quien principalmente realiza las funciones que se nos asignan. Lo que la tiene ocupada cotidianamente son las presentaciones visuales, la redacción y la corrección de numerosos documentos, la actualización de nuestras herramientas de mercadotecnia como el sitio web, el boletín interno, las redes sociales, los folletos corporativos, las publicidades, los videos corporativos, el material impreso y difundido en diferentes plataformas y todas las solicitudes que nos llegan. Esto es perfecto ya que cuenta con una experiencia en comunicaciones corporativas muy sólida y es muy hábil y meticulosa. Con ella, ¡no tengo ninguna duda de la calidad de nuestra imagen!<\/p>\n

Por mi parte, yo me ocupo de la planificación de los proyectos principales y de la coordinación de lo que Géraldine realizará. Me aseguro de que nuestras comunicaciones concuerden con la misión de nuestra empresa, que beneficien las relaciones entre los diferentes departamentos y unidades de negocios y que apoyen bien nuestras operaciones. Por supuesto que me ocupo al mismo tiempo de la Fundación Grupo AGF, la cual también es una buena “clienta” del Departamento de Comunicaciones.<\/p>\n

Las dos formamos ciertamente un departamento muy pequeño pero nuestro papel estratégico es cada vez más esencial para el buen funcionamiento de Grupo AGF. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
