In partnership with Inno-Centre and with guidance from the Innovation Department, a workshop to review AGF Rebar’s value chain took place on January 31. A first workshop regarding AGF Steel’s operations was held at our head office in Longueuil last December (Read the article here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Twenty-eight people representing all of AGF Rebar’s departments and business units met for a day in Mississauga to determine the irritants in operational activities and identify opportunities for improvement.<\/p>\n

The workshop was held at the request of Maxime Gendron, president of AGF Rebar. Aware of the organization’s challenges, he wanted to find a way to improve team spirit and cohesion among all departments, from sales to invoicing, with a performance review of the projects completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop was aimed at improving operational efficiency and increasing cooperation among business units. The main goal was to provide support for the expanded services offered to internal and external customers.<\/p>\n

A follow-up meeting will be held with all participants in the next few days to put the finishing touches on the final report and determine the specifics of the improvement projects to be carried out.<\/p>\n

The Innovation team, headed by Marilyne Barbey, assisted by Ra’D Daoud, will support the teams in their actions associated with the identified projects.<\/p>\n

People involved with a specific project will be assigned responsibility for completing that project. In this way, everyone will play a role in the collective success of this major initiative.<\/p>\n

AGF Rebar continúa sus esfuerzos para mejorar la eficacia organizacional<\/h2>\n

El 31 de enero pasado, en asociación con Inno-Centre y bajo el liderazgo del Departamento de Innovación, se realizó un taller para revisar la cadena de valores de AGF Rebar. Un primer taller sobre AGF Steel se llevó a cabo en nuestra oficina central en Longueuil en diciembre pasado.<\/p>\n

Veintiocho personas que representaban todos los departamentos y unidades de negocios de AGF Rebar se reunieron durante un día en Mississauga para determinar las discordancias en el funcionamiento de las actividades operacionales y definir las oportunidades de mejorar.<\/p>\n

Este taller fue solicitado por el Presidente de AGF Rebar, Maxime Gendron, quien, consciente de los desafíos de la organización, deseaba encontrar un medio para mejorar el espíritu de equipo y la cohesión entre todas las partes participantes, desde ventas, hasta la facturación y la revisión del desempeño de los proyectos realizados.<\/p>\n

El objetivo de este taller era mejorar la eficacia organizacional y aumentar la cooperación entre las unidades de negocios. El objetivo principal era poder asumir la oferta de servicio mejorada propuesta a los clientes internos y externos.<\/p>\n

Se llevará a cabo una reunión de seguimiento en los próximos días con todos los participantes para finalizar el informe final y determinar con más precisión todos los proyectos de mejoramiento que deberán ser realizados.<\/p>\n

El equipo de Innovación, a cargo de Marilyne Barbey, asistida por Ra’D Daoud, apoyará a todos los equipos en la realización de las acciones provenientes de los proyectos identificados.<\/p>\n

La responsabilidad de la realización de los proyectos será confiada a las personas afectadas por un proyecto en particular. De esta manera, cada uno en su nivel, participará en el éxito colectivo de esta importante iniciativa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
