From May 7 to 11, 2018, the fourth annual Health and Safety Week will take place at Acier AGF. In recent weeks, the various business units have received invitations to organize activities.<\/p>\n

Occupational health and safety (OHS) is one of AGF Group’s fundamental values. Making it part of our daily work is a challenge! <\/p>\n

OHS Week is an opportunity to become aware that small, everyday actions make a difference. For instance, stretching before doing strenuous physical work, drinking more water or simply taking the time to understand the risks associated with our industry contribute to a sound culture of health and safety.  <\/p>\n

Here are some examples of activities that will be offered to employees:<\/p>\n

– Stretching sessions led by certified trainers, at the beginning of each shift at several of our Canadian plants;<\/p>\n

– Presentations and information messages for office and plant employees;<\/p>\n

– Preventive health check-up by Medisys<\/p>\n

– … and there is much more to come.<\/p>\n

We are hoping for that employees will participate in large numbers.<\/p>\n

Communication and sharing information are key in promoting a safe workplace.<\/p>\n

Let’s take care of ourselves and each other, in the interest of safety!<\/p>\n

¿Por qué organizar una semana dedicada a la SST?<\/h2>\n

Del 7 al 11 de mayo de 2018 se organizará la cuarta edición de la semana de la salud y seguridad en Acier AGF. De hecho, desde hace varias semanas, nuestras diferentes unidades de negocios recibieron una invitación para organizar las actividades.<\/p>\n

La Salud y Seguridad en el Trabajo (SST) es uno de los valores fundamentales de Grupo AGF. ¡Nuestro desafío es integrarlo a nuestro trabajo cotidiano!<\/p>\n

La semana de la SST nos permite tomar conciencia de que los pequeños gestos de todos los días hacen una diferencia. Por ejemplo, estirarse antes de realizar un trabajo físico exigente, beber más agua o simplemente tomar el tiempo de comprender los riesgos relacionados con nuestro trabajo contribuyen a una cultura sana de salud y seguridad.<\/p>\n

A continuación le presentamos algunos ejemplos de las actividades que serán propuestas a los empleados:<\/p>\n

sesiones de estiramientos animadas por entrenadores certificados al inicio de cada turno de trabajo en varias de nuestras fábricas en Canadá,<\/p>\n

conferencias y cápsulas de información para los empleados de las oficinas y de las plantas,<\/p>\n

chequeo médico preventivo realizado por Medisys,<\/p>\n

…y el programa continúa completándose.<\/p>\n

Esperamos contar con una gran participación por parte de todos nuestros empleados. La comunicación y los intercambios de información son primordiales para promover un lugar de trabajo seguro.<\/p>\n
