{"id":45046,"date":"2018-06-28T10:27:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-28T14:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/the-network\/uncategorized\/reassignment-for-productivity"},"modified":"2024-05-07T15:32:13","modified_gmt":"2024-05-07T19:32:13","slug":"reassignment-for-productivity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/the-network\/general-interest\/reassignment-for-productivity","title":{"rendered":"Reassignment for productivity"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>In recent months, there&rsquo;s been a great deal of housekeeping in AGF Group&rsquo;s Steel sector.<\/p>\n<p>Employees realized that a contribution could be made by machines or tools not currently being used for various reasons (technical problem, poor use of workspace, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>The Procurement Department coordinated the reassignment of some of this equipment to other business units that needed the machines to boost production.<\/p>\n<h3>From &ldquo;cemetery&rdquo; to plant<\/h3>\n<p>By redeveloping an unused area at the Armabec plant in Longueuil, we have been able to recover space in which to develop our operations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image_cimetiere-4.png\" style=\"height:364px; width:787px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>With the collaboration of managers at our Alberta and Ontario divisions, many machines have been given a second life.<\/p>\n<p>From AGF Albrecht and AGF C&amp;T Rebar, we were able to recover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a Pedax Cadormatic shear<\/li>\n<li>an MEP Format 16 automatic bender<\/li>\n<li>a Schnell Bar Wiser 26 shear &amp; bender.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Boosting production capacity<\/h3>\n<p>Before the redevelopment, the machines in use at Armabec allowed for production of 1,000 T\/week.<\/p>\n<p>Now that these older machines have been rehabilitated, production capacity could increase by 28% to as much as 1,400 T\/week.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great example of cooperation among employees at our business units. Thanks to everyone for their excellent work!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-2121.jpg\" style=\"height:67px; width:400px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h2>Reorganizaci&oacute;n y productividad<\/h2>\n<p>Desde hace varios meses, se est&aacute; haciendo una gran reorganizaci&oacute;n en la secci&oacute;n Acero de Grupo AGF.<\/p>\n<p>Los empleados tomaron consciencia de la contribuci&oacute;n que pod&iacute;an representar las m&aacute;quinas o las herramientas que no se utilizan por diversas razones (problema t&eacute;cnico, espacio de trabajo mal empleado, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>El departamento de aprovisionamiento coordin&oacute; la reorganizaci&oacute;n de ciertos de estos activos en otras unidades de negocios que las necesitaban con el fin de valorizar su producci&oacute;n.<\/p>\n<h3>Del &ldquo;cementerio&rdquo; a la f&aacute;brica<\/h3>\n<p>Pudimos recuperar un espacio para desarrollar nuestras actividades reordenando un lugar abandonado en la f&aacute;brica de Armabec en Longueuil.<\/p>\n<p>Gracias a la colaboraci&oacute;n de los dirigentes de nuestras divisiones de Alberta y de Ontario, varias de sus m&aacute;quinas encontraron la oportunidad de tener una segunda vida.<\/p>\n<p>AGF Albrecht y AGF C&amp;T Rebar, nos permitieron recuperar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 m&aacute;quina de corte Cadormatic de Pedax,<\/li>\n<li>1 dobladora autom&aacute;tica Formato 16 de MEP,<\/li>\n<li>1 Schnell Bar Wiser 26 (cortadora y plegadora).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Incremento de la capacidad de producci&oacute;n<\/h3>\n<p>Antes de la reorganizaci&oacute;n, el parque de m&aacute;quinas utilizado en Armabec permit&iacute;a una capacidad de producci&oacute;n de 1000&nbsp;t\/semana.<\/p>\n<p>Despu&eacute;s de la rehabilitaci&oacute;n de m&aacute;quinas antiguas, la capacidad de producci&oacute;n podr&aacute; incrementar hasta 1400&nbsp;t\/semana.
