For the Acier AGF team in Trois-Rivières, summer started on a high note.<\/p>\n

New contracts<\/h3>\n

They recently landed three great contracts totalling more than $4 million<\/p>\n

Lokia seniors’ residence in Trois-Rivières: 864 tonnes. Work is getting under way. (Picture hereunder).<\/p>\n

Château Bellevue seniors’ complex in Shawinigan: 574 tonnes. Starting this summer.<\/p>\n

Le Saphir seniors’ complex in Saint-Hyacinthe: 1,300 tonnes. The project began in May, in collaboration with the AGF Acier division in Longueuil.<\/p>\n

Increase in production<\/h3>\n

In recent weeks, ATR’s production has jumped by 40%. They are now producing up to 400 tonnes per week, including stainless steel.<\/p>\n

What’s more, the recent acquisition of a new shear will enable them to support the pace of work and the efforts they are making, since they’ll be able to go from 7 to 20 tonnes produced per shift!<\/p>\n

From Val-d’Or to Saint-Hyacinthe<\/h3>\n

The Trois-Rivières division now serves the Abitibi region and has expanded its business territory to Saint-Hyacinthe on Montreal’s South Shore, in collaboration with Acier AGF in Longueuil.<\/p>\n

Employees have been working on a new plant for American Iron and Metal (AIM) in Abitibi and have installed 36 tonnes of rebar the last few weeks.<\/p>\n

Management is also optimistic about securing several other contracts in Abitibi that should be finalized in upcoming weeks.<\/p>\n

Hires<\/h3>\n

More then a dozen steel workers were recently hired in Trois-Rivières. As a result, three foremen were also hired and trained to support these new employees. They now have eight foremen.<\/p>\n

A healthy mind in a healthy body<\/h3>\n

The Trois-Rivières office recently added a fitness room to boost employees’ well-being. It’s proving popular during the lunch hour or after work.<\/p>\n

El verano comenzó muy bien para el equipo de Acier AGF en Trois-Rivières.<\/p>\n

Nuevos contratos<\/h3>\n

Recientemente se obtuvieron tres excelentes contratos que totalizan más de cuatro millones de dólares.<\/p>\n

Residencia para personas de edad avanzada “Lokia” en Trois-Rivières: 864 t. Inicio de los trabajos en curso.<\/p>\n

“Château Bellevue”, Complejo para jubilados en Shawinigan: 574 t. Inicio este verano.<\/p>\n

Complejo para jubilados “Le Saphir” en Saint-Hyacinthe: 1300 t. El proyecto empezó en mayo, en colaboración con la división de Acier AGF en Longueuil.<\/p>\n

Incremento de la producción<\/h3>\n

Durante las últimas semanas, la producción de ATR aumentó en un 40%. A partir de ahora producen hasta 400 t por semana, incluyendo acero inoxidable.<\/p>\n

Además, la reciente adquisición de una nueva cizalla va a poder apoyar el ritmo de trabajo y los esfuerzos realizados ya que va a permitir pasar de 7 a 20 toneladas producidas ¡en cada turno de trabajo!<\/p>\n

De Val-d’Or a Saint-Hyacinthe<\/h3>\n

La fábrica de Trois-Rivières cubre desde ahora la región de Abitibi y extiende su territorio de negocios hasta la ribera sur de Montreal y Saint-Hyacinthe, en colaboración con Acier AGF en Longueuil.<\/p>\n

Los empleados han estado trabajando sobre el proyecto de una nueva fábrica para American Iron & Metal (AIM) en Abitibi y han colocado 36 t de acero de refuerzo durante los próximos meses.<\/p>\n

La dirección también se encuentra optimista en cuanto a la obtención de varios contratos que deberán concretizarse durante las próximas semanas en Abitibi.<\/p>\n

Contrataciones<\/h3>\n

Se ha contratado más de una decena de obreros para la elaboración de armaduras en Trois-Rivières. Por ende, también se contrataron y capacitaron tres contramaestres para poder supervisar a estos nuevos empleados. A partir de ahora serán ocho contramaestres.<\/p>\n

Mente sana en cuerpo sano<\/h3>\n

Para el bienestar de los empleados, las oficinas de Trois-Rivières añadieron recientemente una sala de entrenamiento, la cual es frecuentada con agrado durante la hora del almuerzo o después del trabajo.<\/p>\n
