They stipulate that all construction sites as well as access routes must be kept tidy. The same applies in the plant and offices, because good housekeeping is important for all departments in our companies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Some observations and advice<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Workplace accidents: 80% of same-level falls are associated with housekeeping issues.<\/li>\n<li>Orderliness fosters efficiency, better productivity and greater safety!<\/li>\n<li>Emergency exits must never be blocked, and fire extinguishers and first aid kits must be within easy reach.<\/li>\n<li>Good housekeeping is a must everywhere at all times: it is important to tidy up throughout the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Putting it into practice at AGF C&amp;T Inc.<\/h3>\n<p>At the Scarborough facility, employees were encouraged to adopt the 5S methodology in order to improve housekeeping.<\/p>\n<p>They quickly noticed that implementing the 5S (<a href=\"http:\/\/lereseau.groupeagf.com\/en\/articles\/5S-method-at-AGF\/\">see our article this past March<\/a>) went beyond the theoretical, and concrete benefits soon became evident.<\/p>\n<p>These combined efforts have contributed to improving the well-being of employees, who now work in a tidier and safer environment. The 5S also made it possible to optimize the use of common areas and aisles.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, plant maintenance staff can now act more quickly since they have easier access to production equipment and a better view of breakdowns or incidents.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, there&rsquo;s no doubt that this will have a positive impact on our company&rsquo;s image. When the plant is clean and tidy, visiting customers can see for themselves that we pay close attention to the quality of our services at every level.<\/p>\n<p>Keep up the good work!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-2136.jpg\" style=\"height:67px; width:400px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h2>Sistema 5S y el mantenimiento de las instalaciones<\/h2>\n<p>Los diferentes reglamentos sobre la salud y seguridad como el RSST de Quebec o el Green Book en Ontario reglamentan el mantenimiento de las instalaciones. Indican que toda obra de construcci&oacute;n, incluyendo las v&iacute;as de acceso, deben mantenerse en orden. Y el mismo principio se aplica en las f&aacute;bricas y en las oficinas ya que el mantenimiento de las instalaciones es importante en todos los departamentos de nuestras empresas.<\/p>\n<h3>Algunas observaciones y consejos<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Accidente de trabajo: 80% de las ca&iacute;das al mismo nivel est&aacute;n vinculadas al mantenimiento de las instalaciones.<\/li>\n<li>El orden favorece la eficacia, una mejor productividad &iexcl;y m&aacute;s seguridad!<\/li>\n<li>Las salidas de emergencia no deben estar obstruidas y los accesos a los extintores y a los botiquines de primeros auxilios deben ser f&aacute;cilmente accesibles.<\/li>\n<li>El mantenimiento de las instalaciones es v&aacute;lido en todos los lugares todo el tiempo: es importante ordenar a medida que se necesite en el d&iacute;a.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Acciones concretas en AGF C&amp;T Inc.<\/h3>\n<p>En las instalaciones de Scarborough (Ontario), se invit&oacute; a los empleados a seguir la metodolog&iacute;a 5S para mejorar el mantenimiento de las instalaciones.<\/p>\n<p>R&aacute;pidamente notaron que implantar el 5S (<a href=\"http:\/\/lereseau.groupeagf.com\/fr\/articles\/Le-5S-chez-AGF\/\">consulte nuestro art&iacute;culo del marzo pasado<\/a>), &iexcl;no es solamente teor&iacute;a! Son sobre todo beneficios concretos para la empresa que se pueden experimentar r&aacute;pidamente.<\/p>\n<p>Sus esfuerzos mutuos contribuyeron a mejorar el bienestar de los empleados quienes ahora maniobran en un espacio de trabajo todav&iacute;a m&aacute;s limpio y seguro. El sistema 5S tambi&eacute;n ha permitido maximizar la utilizaci&oacute;n de los espacios comunes y los pasillos de circulaci&oacute;n.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, el personal de mantenimiento de la f&aacute;brica puede actuar m&aacute;s r&aacute;pidamente al tener f&aacute;cil acceso al equipo de producci&oacute;n y al tener una mejor visibilidad de las aver&iacute;as o incidentes que se presenten.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, todo eso tendr&aacute; ciertamente un impacto positivo en la imagen de la marca de la compa&ntilde;&iacute;a.
