On September 19, 2018, a conference organized by Les Affaires<\/em>, a newspaper focusing on management, business strategy and entrepreneurship, will be held at the Hyatt Regency. This all-day event will focus on one theme: INNOVATION MANAGEMENT.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main items to be discussed will be:<\/h3>\n

    Risk taking and innovation;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Meeting the challenge of innovation: a success story *;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • Intrapreneurship: examining various types and understanding how to facilitate the commitment of the Executive Management Team;<\/li>\n
  • Open innovation:\n
      \n
    • Evaluating different partnerships and developing the best practices;<\/li>\n
    • Reinventing intellectual property models;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Rethinking and accelerating collaborative work with the help of business agility;<\/li>\n
    • Understanding trends to embrace industry changes: AMF’s Fintech Lab;<\/li>\n
    • Future possibilities and possible futures: imagining the future of innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      * During this workshop I’ll have the privilege of participating, on behalf of AGF, in a panel led by the Senior Vice President of Investments—Venture Capital at MNUBO, and in which its President and Co-Founder will also take part, to speak about the implementation of an innovation culture at AGF.<\/p>\n

      Among other things, I’ll share my appreciation of the significant progress made at the Scarborough plant which, for example, doubled its production capacity as a result of organizational changes, the implementation of 5S methodology, and employee involvement.<\/p>\n

      I’ll also share my experience regarding two workshops held in collaboration with Inno-Centre<\/em>, at both AGF Longueuil and AGF Rebar locations, regarding our value chain. This workshop allow for the participants to become aware of opportunities for improvement in all areas of the company.<\/p>\n

      We are still in the early stages of a Lean culture at AGF. With the support of our Executive Management Team, our managers and all our employees, this great ship that is continuous improvement will eventually reach its destination after this long journey of transformation.<\/p>\n

      Long live the change. All that is static rigidifies. We must keep our agility to ensure transformation.<\/p>\n

      El 19 de septiembre de 2018 será una conferencia en el Hyatt Regency organizada por el periódico “Les Affaires”, un día con el tema principal: GESTIÓN DE LA INNOVACIÓN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Los principales temas siguientes serán discutidos:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

        La toma de riesgos y la innovación<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Superar el desafío de la innovación: historia de éxito*<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • Intrapresariado: Los diferentes tipos y cómo facilitar la adhesión de la alta gerencia al concepto<\/li>\n
      • Innovación abierta:\n

        • Evaluar las diferentes asociaciones posibles y desarrollar a los mejores<\/li>\n
        • Los modelos de propiedad intelectual a reinventar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Reinventar y acelerar la colaboración por agilidad<\/li>\n
        • Comprender las tendencias para adoptar los cambios de su industria: el Laboratoire Fintech de AMF<\/li>\n
        • Posibilidades futuras y futuros posibles: ¿cómo será la innovación del mañana?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          *Durante este taller tendré el privilegio de participar a nombre de AGF en un panel animado por el Vicepresidente Principal de Inversiones, Capital de riesgo, con la participación del presidente y cofundador de MNUBO, para ser testigo de la implantación de una cultura de innovación en AGF.<\/p>\n

          Pude ser testigo, entre otras cosas, de los importantes progresos realizados en la fábrica de Scarborough, por ejemplo, que pudo duplicar su capacidad de producción después de ciertos cambios organizacionales, de la implantación de las 5S y de la participación de los empleados. También discutiré de dos talleres organizados con Inno-Centre en la cadena de valor en AGF Longueuil y AGF Rebar que permitió concienciar a los participantes sobre las posibilidades de mejora en todos los sectores de la empresa.<\/p>\n

          Todavía estamos en las etapas iniciales de una cultura “Lean” en AGF. Con el apoyo de la alta gerencia, de los diferentes ejecutivos y de todo el personal, este gran trasatlántico que es la mejora continua terminará por llegar a su destino después de esta gran travesía de la transformación.<\/p>\n
