In recent weeks, our Chilean colleagues have been working hard on the Mejillones desalination plant project, in the Antofagasta region.<\/p>\n

The client is BHP—Minera Espence, one of the largest copper mining companies in Chile.<\/p>\n

Between August 2018 and February 2019, more than 1,500 tonnes of reinforcing steel will be installed by 30 Torres Ocaranza AGF SpA employees for the construction of a plant that will process and supply sea water to Espence. The water will be delivered through a 120-kilometre-long pipeline. Balzola is the General contractor on this project. <\/p>\n

Torres Ocaranza AGF SpA was also recently awarded a contract for the construction of the Central Crime Laboratory of the Chilean judicial police, located in the municipality of Santiago—Pudahuel.<\/p>\n

It will be an ultra-modern laboratory that will be considered as a reference in America. Its 14,564 square meters will be spread over seven floors to accommodate 200 people from 16 different specialties.<\/p>\n

The client is OHL, a Spanish construction and civil engineering company.<\/p>\n

1000 tons of reinforcing steel will be installed by 24 AGF Chilean steel workers.<\/p>\n

The project started on December 5th<\/sup> and will be carried out until next June.<\/p>\n

Nuestros colegas de AGF en Chile trabajaron arduamente estas últimas semanas en el proyecto de la fábrica de desalinización de Mejillones en la región de Antofagasta.<\/p>\n

El jefe de obra es BHP – Minera Espence.<\/p>\n

Entre agosto 2018 y febrero 2019, 30 empleados de Torres Ocaranza AGF SpA instalarán más de 1500 t de acero de refuerzo durante la construcción de una fábrica que realizará el tratamiento y el abastecimiento de agua de mar a la sociedad minera Espence.<\/p>\n

Esta fábrica de desalinización va a dirigir el agua por medio de una tubería de 120 km de longitud por la sociedad minera Espence, la cual es una de las más grandes empresas de extracción de cobre en Chile.<\/p>\n

Torres Ocaranza AGF SpA también obtuvo recientemente un contrato para la construcción del Laboratorio de Criminalística Central de la policía judicial de Chile, ubicado en Santiago – Pudahuel.<\/p>\n

Este va a ser el laboratorio màs modemo de América. El edificio contarà con 14.564 metros construidos, distribuidos en siete pisos para albergar a 200 personas de 16 especialidades<\/p>\n

El jefe de obra es OHL.<\/p>\n

Veinticuatro trabajadores instalarán mil toneladas de acero de refuerzo.<\/p>\n

El proyecto comenzó el 5 de diciembre y continuará hasta el próximo junio.<\/p>\n
