As all Canadians know, Alberta’s economy has been faltering for the past three years. Factors such as declining oil prices and the impossibility of building new pipelines have slowed Alberta’s growth and created a sluggish environment for residents and businesses.<\/p>\n

AGF Steel’s Alberta subsidiary did not escape this reality. Due to declining revenues, more demanding customers, and the presence of fierce competition, the unification of the two business units in the Calgary area and the closure of the Edmonton area installations were unavoidable.<\/p>\n

But there is a wind of change in Alberta and AGF’s Alberta division is benefitting from its positive effects. Hope is reborn in the gas sector, which is encouraging for residents. At AGF, the arrival of a new management team, the implementation of new processes, the introduction of better business practices, and the energy of the entire AGF Group behind its subsidiary is making way for a more positive outlook on activities.<\/p>\n

AGF C&T Rebar Inc. is now known as AGF Reinforcing Inc.<\/h3>\n

Since May 21, 2019, the name AGF – Reinforcing Inc. appears on contracts, invoices and other legal documents. Then we kindly request that all transactional records and legal documents issued to our office reflect that name change.AGF Reinforcing Inc. is the new AGF corporate name in Alberta.<\/p>\n

More than a new name, this change is the beginning of a new era when AGF’s values are worn high and proud. We want to make sure customers only want one rebar supplier—AGF—as they will know that AGF will work with them in achieving success for all their projects.<\/p>\n

But what kind of changes are we talking about?<\/p>\n

AGF members in Alberta are teaming up with Cobra’s new partner—Cobra Rebar Services Ltd—to take advantage of the market expansion in British Columbia.<\/p>\n

Last fall, we completed a 1,400 MT contract, which was a great success. Furthermore, a 2000 MT 30-storey condo tower will be built in partnership over the next year.<\/p>\n

Last March, the Alberta division signed three contracts for the manufacture of 91 wind turbines, nearly 5,000 MT!<\/p>\n

If all this is not a wind of change, then I have more arguments to convince you!<\/p>\n

El viento ha cambiado en Alberta<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Todos los canadienses lo saben, la economía de Alberta es inestable desde hace tres años. Factores como la disminución de los precios del petróleo y la imposibilidad de construir nuevos oleoductos disminuyeron la velocidad del auge de Alberta y crearon una pesadumbre entre los residentes y las empresas.<\/p>\n

La filial de acero de AGF en Alberta no se libró. Debido a una disminución de ingresos, a la presencia de clientes más exigentes y a una competencia feroz, la unificación de las dos unidades de negocios de la región de Calgary y el cierre de la de Edmonton eran ineludibles.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, un viento de cambio sopla en Alberta y en la división de AGF que ahí se encuentra. La esperanza renace en el sector del gas, lo cual alienta a los residentes. En AGF, un nuevo equipo de gestión, la implementación de nuevos procesos y de mejores prácticas, y la fuerza de empuje de todo el Grupo AGF detrás de su filial regresan la confianza en días mejores.<\/p>\n

AGF C&T Rebar Inc. ya no existe, que viva AGF Reinforcing Inc., la nueva razón social de AGF en Alberta. Más que un nuevo nombre, este cambio es el inicio de una nueva época en la que los valores de AGF se llevarán en alto y orgullosamente. Los clientes querrán solamente un proveedor de acero de refuerzo, AGF, ya que sabrán que AGF trabajará con ellos para el éxito de sus proyectos.<\/p>\n

Todo eso está bien, “el viento cambia”, pero más concretamente, ¿qué es lo que cambia?<\/p>\n

Los miembros de AGF hacen equipo con el nuevo socio del Grupo, Cobra Rebar Services Ltd — para aprovecharse de la expansión del mercado en Colombia Británica.<\/p>\n

El otoño pasado, un contrato de 1400 t fue un gran éxito y una torre de condominios de 30 pisos de 2000 t será realizado en asociación durante el próximo año.<\/p>\n

El marzo pasado, la división de Alberta cerró tres contratos para la fabricación de 91 aerogeneradores, es decir ¡casi 5000 t¡<\/p>\n
