Mental health issues are present in all socio-economic environments. It is a bit like a silent illness, an inner pain, many of which ignore the signs and symptoms. According to the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal, 1 in 5 people will experience mental health problems in their lifetime.<\/p>\n

Mental illness is also synonymous with work absenteeism, as it affects all employees regardless of their occupation. As it also has repercussions on the operations of the company, it is advisable to opt for a more analytical and personalized approach in relation to this issue. With this in mind, AGF Group has partnered with CAMH<\/a> (Center of Addiction & Mental Health), the largest teaching hospital in Canada and one of the world’s leading mental health research centres.<\/p>\n

In order to develop an integrative approach, a committee was formed to formulate a mental health policy applicable within the AGF Group. We are currently working on the development of the latter, a first in the Group, so that it can be deployed during the year. It is a way of addressing mental health issues and providing tools for managers and employees. I am proud to be part of this project because it aims for the well-being of our collaborators and will guide them towards tools that will certainly be useful for them on the path to recovery.<\/p>\n

Mental health is still too often a taboo subject that we cannot ignore. Let’s not forget that for many people, the support of a parent, a friend or even a colleague could make all the difference.<\/p>\n

La salud mental<\/h2>\n

Los problemas relacionados con la salud mental están presentes en todos los medios socioeconómicos. Es un poco como un mal silencioso: un dolor interno cuyas señales y síntomas muchos ignoran. De acuerdo con el Instituto Universitario de Salud Mental de Montreal, una persona entre cinco sufrirá problemas de salud mental en su vida.<\/p>\n

Las enfermedades mentales también son sinónimo de absentismo laboral, ya que toca a todos los empleados, sin importar su ocupación. Como tiene repercusiones en las operaciones de la empresa, es conveniente optar por un enfoque más analítico y personalizado en relación con esta problemática. Con esto en mente, Grupo AGF ha creado una asociación con el Centro de Adicciones y Salud Mental <\/a>(CAMH, por sus siglas en inglés), el hospital de enseñanza más grande de Canadá y uno de los centros de investigación más importantes del mundo en cuanto a la salud mental.<\/p>\n

Con el fin de desarrollar un proceso integrativo, este comité fue creado para formar una política de salud mental aplicable en Grupo AGF. Estamos elaborándola en este momento —una novedad en el Grupo— para que pueda ser desplegada durante el año. Pretende ser un medio para tratar las problemáticas de salud mental y para darle herramientas a los directivos y a los empleados. Me siento orgulloso de participar en este proyecto, ya que tiene como objetivo el bienestar de nuestros colaboradores y porque permitirá orientarlos hacia herramientas que serán ciertamente útiles para recuperarse.<\/p>\n

La salud mental continúa frecuentemente siendo un tema tabú que no podemos ignorar. No olvidemos que para muchas personas el apoyo de un familiar, de un amigo o incluso de un colega, podría ser toda la diferencia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
