On May 23, in the unique, spectacular setting of the St-James Theatre, the AGF Group Foundation welcomed 260 guests for its sixth culinary fundraiser, the fifth in partnership with La Tablée des Chefs. The theme for the evening was Mille Feux [A thousand lights], since the Foundation wanted to illustrate that the reasons for becoming socially involved are like individual flames that, when combined, form an impressive and inspiring whole. <\/p>\n

Speakers included our president, Serge Gendron, François Perras, president and CEO of ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada and the event’s honorary president, as well as Jean-François Archambault, founder and executive director of La Tablée des Chefs. They each had an inspirational personal message to share with us.<\/p>\n

Our other event partners were Édéenne, designer of high-end jewellery, and Claude Chevalier, producer of the Burgundy wines that we enjoyed throughout the evening. <\/p>\n

Our culinary wizards once again dazzled the guests with their amazing dishes! Thanks to our extraordinary volunteer chefs and their crew: Constance Tassé-Gagnon, Vanessa Trahan, Alexandre Gosselin, François Desroches, Olivier Perret, Jonathan Lapierre-Réhayem and Eric Champagne, not to mention our fabulous sommelier Simon Thibaudeau. <\/p>\n

I am personally very thankful to have had the support of such a professional team in orchestrating this remarkable event. Thanks to Isabelle Marquis, Marie Breton, Géraldine Raedemaeker and Eric Lorent, to the entire team at La Tablée des Chefs, to our 30 volunteers, and special thanks to Catherine Bagdian. <\/p>\n

The event generated net proceeds of $321,000, which will be redistributed in our community across Canada over the next year to the dozens of organizations that the Foundation is proud to support.<\/p>\n

We look forward to welcoming back each of our guests in 2020! They are who make this event so magical.<\/p>\n

El pasado 23 de mayo, en la decoración única y grandiosa que ofrece el Teatro St-James, la Fundación Grupo AGF recibió a 260 invitados para la sexta cena gastronómica de recaudación de fondos, la quinta en asociación con “La Tablée de Chefs”. La Fundación quiso ilustrar con el tema “Mil Fuegos” que todas las motivaciones para implicarse socialmente se comparan a llamas individuales que, juntas, forman un todo espectacular y apasionante.<\/p>\n

Serge Gendron, nuestro presidente, François Perras, Presidente y Director General de ArcelorMittal, Productos Largos, Canadá, el presidente de honor de la velada, así como Jean-François Archambault, Fundador y Director General de “La Tablée des Chefs” tomaron la palabra. Cada uno pronunció palabras personales muy inspiradoras.<\/p>\n

Nuestros otros cómplices de la velada fueron Édéenne, joyera de gran destreza, y Claude Chevalier, productor de vinos de Borgoña los cuales nos sirvieron toda la recepción.<\/p>\n

En cuanto a nuestros creadores de sabores, una vez más impresionaron a los comensales ¡con sus platos de grandiosa calidad! Les damos las gracias a nuestros formidables chefs voluntarios y a su brigada: Constance Tassé-Gagnon, Vanessa Trahan, Alexandre Gosselin, François Desroches, Olivier Perret, Jonathan Lapierre-Réhayem y Eric Champagne, sin olvidar a nuestro fabuloso sumiller Simon Thibaudeau.<\/p>\n

Por mi parte, me siento muy agradecida por haber estado rodeada de un equipo tan profesional para realizar este maravilloso evento. Gracias a Isabelle Marquis, Marie Breton, Géraldine Raedemaeker y a Eric Lorent, gracias a todo el equipo de “La Tablée des Chefs”, gracias a nuestros treinta voluntarios y un agradecimiento particularmente cálido a Catherine Bagdian.<\/p>\n

La velada aportó un beneficio neto de 321 000 CAD. Durante el próximo año, esta suma será redistribuida en nuestra comunidad pancanadiense a decenas de organismos a los cuales la Fundación Grupo AGF apoya orgullosamente.<\/p>\n
