AGF – Reinforcing Inc. has teamed up with Borea Construction to construct 56 Wind Turbines in Southern Alberta. These placers are constructing one base per day which is 49 metric tons (MT) of rebar per base. The crew began in the last half of May and will complete the last base in mid-August, with only one First Aid treatment.<\/p>\n

As of August 1st, AGF has completed 44 of the 56 Wind turbines.<\/p>\n

The safety aspect of this project has been flawless, our placers go above and beyond when it comes to Health & Safety. The paper work such as daily Field level risk assessments, Job hazard analysis, Permits, competency forms, site inspections & Safety meetings have been outstanding. We continue to hear from Borea Construction on how we are leading the way in health & Safety.<\/p>\n

The leadership on the project is second to none. We have James Delaney, Rob Watts, Dennis Halbauer & Dzevad Sarajlic leading the charge. These gentlemen have built a strong team and continue to be 100% productive but also manage to maintain the wellness of each and every worker to ensure they go home safe each & every night.<\/p>\n

The teamwork & moral on this project is like nothing I have seen in my 15 years of construction experience.  I would like to say Thank you to everyone involved on such a large scale project that is making us (AGF) proud. <\/p>\n

The project began with a very rocky start and was trending to be quite unsuccessful. Thankfully with hard work and determination from our teams, it is a much different story today. The project on site is being led by our General Foreman, James Delaney & in our shop the Production Manager Shawn Gordon. I commend them both for the effort these individuals and their teams have displayed.<\/p>\n

Our Workers in the field have spent many weeks away from home, working long hours in very unfavorable weather, alongside rattle snakes and antelope. I would like to formally thank each of them on behalf of the organization. This project could not be a success without their teamwork and work ethic.<\/p>\n

We have recently been informed by Borea management that they are immensely satisfied by our performance and will be recommending AGF – Reinforcing Inc. for all future projects in Western Canada and we will gladly accept the opportunity.<\/p>\n

Los trabajadores construyen una base para aerogenerador por día, lo cual representa 49 millones de toneladas de barras de refuerzo por base. El personal comenzó en la segunda quincena de mayo y terminará la última base a mediados de agosto. Además, hubo solamente un evento en el que se necesitaron primeros auxilios.<\/p>\n

El aspecto de seguridad de este proyecto fue infalible. Nuestros empleados encargados de la instalación de acero están conscientes de la importancia que hay que acordarle a la salud y seguridad en su trabajo. Las evaluaciones cotidianas de los riesgos en el terreno, el análisis de riesgos profesionales, los permisos, los formularios de competencias, las inspecciones del lugar y las reuniones sobre la seguridad fueron excepcionales. Borea Construction continúa diciéndonos a qué punto somos un ejemplo en el área de salud y seguridad.<\/p>\n

El liderazgo del proyecto es incomparable gracias a James Delaney, Rob Watts, Dennis Halbauer y Dzevad Sarajlic, quienes construyeron un equipo sólido y demostraron una gran productividad, manteniendo el bienestar de cada trabajador para asegurarse de que regresen a casa seguros cada día. El trabajo de equipo y el ambiente en este proyecto no se parecen a nada de lo que he podido ver en mis quince años de experiencia en la construcción. Quiero agradecer a todas las personas que participaron en este proyecto de gran envergadura, el cual nos enorgullece en AGF.<\/p>\n

El proyecto tuvo inicios muy difíciles. Afortunadamente, gracias al trabajo arduo y a la determinación de nuestros equipos, la situación ahora es muy diferente. El proyecto fue dirigido en la obra por nuestro contramaestre general, James Delaney. Y en nuestra fábrica, contamos con el director de producción, Shawn Gordon. Los felicito a los dos por sus esfuerzos y los de sus equipos.<\/p>\n

Nuestros trabajadores en la obra pasaron varias semanas lejos de su casa, trabajando largas horas en condiciones climáticas muy desfavorables, ¡a un lado de serpientes de cascabel y de antílopes! Quiero agradecer formalmente a cada uno de ellos a nombre de la organización.<\/p>\n

Este proyecto no podría tener éxito sin su trabajo en equipo y su ética profesional. La dirección de Borea nos informó recientemente que se sintió extremadamente satisfecha de nuestro desempeño y que recomendaría AGF – Reinforcing Inc. para todos sus proyectos futuros en el oeste de Canadá.
