AGF employees can send me questions about the company’s history, projects, social involvement, or any other subject related to the AGF Group.<\/p>\n

This month, I selected a question that was sent by Geraldine Raedemaeker (Communication Advisor – AGF Group Inc.). <\/p>\n

In 2012, you created the AGF Group Foundation. Can you tell us more about your motivation and goals when you started this project?<\/h3>\n

The origin of this idea came from a simple concept: I believe that a company that integrates into a living environment must be able to give back to the surrounding community.
\nSocial involvement has always been an important value for me, and it is also part of AGF’s corporate values.<\/p>\n

Before the creation of the Foundation in 2012, AGF already supported United Way and several local organizations. But I wanted to go even further. It has been a few years since I wanted to educate our employees about philanthropy*.<\/p>\n

Seven years later, I’m proud to see the impact of the Foundation. $ 2.5 million has already been redistributed to the community, everywhere where AGF is present in Canada.<\/p>\n

In addition to giving back to society, other benefits have also come from the creation of the Foundation. This was not part of my initial objectives but I quickly realized that the Foundation was a wonderful vehicle for mobilizing, retaining the workforce and strengthening the sense of belonging to AGF. In addition, it values ​​teamwork since employees often join forces to organize fundraising activities for causes that are important to them.<\/p>\n

So ultimately, everyone wins: the organizations we support, AGF employees and the AGF Group!<\/p>\n

* Origin of the word “philanthropy”: Philos: love and anthropos: human race. In other words, it is the love of humanity, or the selfless generosity in order to improve human’s destiny.<\/p>\n

Cada mes, los empleados de AGF podrán enviarme sus preguntas sobre la historia, los proyectos, la implicación social o cualquier otro tema relacionado con Grupo AGF.<\/p>\n

Este mes, escogí la pregunta de Geraldine Raedemaeker (Asesora de Comunicación – Grupo AGF). <\/p>\n

Usted creó la Fundación Grupo AGF en el 2012. ¿Nos puede hablar más sobre su motivación y sus objetivos cuando lanzó este proyecto?<\/h3>\n

Esta idea se originó a partir de un concepto simple: para mí, una empresa que se integra en un ambiente debe poder corresponderle a la comunidad que la rodea.
\nLa implicación social siempre fue un valor importante para mí; de hecho también forma parte de los valores corporativos de AGF.<\/p>\n

Antes de la creación de la Fundación en el 2012, AGF ya apoyaba a Centraide y a varios organismos locales. Sin embargo, yo quería hacer más. Ya hacía algunos años que quería concienciar a nuestros empleados sobre la filantropía*.
\nSiete años más tarde, me enorgullece ver el impacto que tiene la Fundación. Ya son 2.5 millones de dólares que han sido redistribuidos en la comunidad, en todos los lugares en los que AGF se encuentra presente en Canadá.<\/p>\n

Además de corresponderle a la sociedad, la creación de la Fundación ha creado otros beneficios. Al inicio, no formaba parte de mis objetivos; sin embargo, rápidamente me di cuenta de que la
\nFundación era un maravilloso medio para movilizar a la gente, retener la mano de obra y reforzar el sentimiento de pertenencia en AGF. Además, valoriza el trabajo en equipo ya que los empleados con frecuencia se reúnen para organizar actividades en beneficio de la causas que son importantes para ellos.<\/p>\n

Finalmente todo el mundo gana: los organismos que apoyamos, los empleados de AGF ¡y el Grupo AGF!<\/p>\n
