We’re pleased to announce that we have signed a contract to provide more than 11, 000 MT of rebar for the construction of Espace Montmorency, located in Laval (north of Montreal).
\nThis is one of the largest mixed-use projects to be built in Laval. The brand new urban centre will be located in the heart of the city and will be directly linked to Montreal’s underground network through the Montmorency metro station. 
\nIt will consist of several dozen buildings—some up to 20 storeys high. There will be a wide variety of office space, cafés and restaurants, as well as a hotel, numerous residential units and green spaces. 
\n“With its bold “design by block” architecture, Espace Montmorency will be built continuously until the fall of 2022. To facilitate management of the project, it will be divided into three major stages (source website espacemontmorency;com) <\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n

– The first stage will involve laying the foundations for the project, building the underground parking for 1,400 vehicles and the two-storey retail podium;<\/p>\n

– The second stage will see the construction of towers 1 and 4, which will house 700 residential units; <\/p>\n

–  The third stage includes tower 2, with 350,000 ft2 of office space, and tower 3, which will house a 180-room hotel.”<\/p>\n

AGF began working on this project in November and will continue until 2022. Depending on the period, there will be from 20 to 30 steelworkers assigned to the site.

ESPACE MONTMORENCY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Nos llena de orgullo anunciar la firma de un contrato de más de 11 000 t para el proyecto de construcción “Espace Montmorency”, situado en Laval (en el área norte de Montreal).<\/p>\n

Es uno de los proyectos inmobiliarios más importantes de uso mixto construido en Laval. Este nuevo centro urbano se ubicará en el centro de la ciudad y estará directamente vinculado con la red subterránea de Montreal, por medio de la estación de metro Montmorency.<\/p>\n

Este centro urbano reagrupará varias decenas de inmuebles, de los cuales varios serán hasta de veinte pisos. Habrá una gran oferta de oficinas, de cafés, de restaurantes, un hotel y un gran número de unidades residenciales y de espacios verdes.<\/p>\n

Diseñado con una arquitectura audaz, utilizando un “diseño por bloques”, el “Espace Montmorency” se realizará de forma continua hasta el otoño de 2022. Para facilitar la gestión de la construcción, el proyecto será separado en tres grandes secciones (source website espacemontmorency;com) <\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n

– La primera sección corresponde a la edificación de los cimientos del proyecto, a la construcción del estacionamiento subterráneo de 1400 plazas y de una base comercial de dos pisos<\/p>\n

– La segunda sección corresponde a la elevación de las Torres 1 y 4, las cuales recibirán los espacios residenciales, totalizando 700 unidades.<\/p>\n

–  La tercera sección corresponde a la construcción de la Torre 2, la cual contará con 3500 000 ft2<\/sup> de espacios de oficinas y de la Torre 3, la cual incluirá un hotel de 180 habitaciones.”<\/p>\n

Para AGF, los trabajos iniciaron este mes de noviembre y finalizarán en el 2022. En total habrá de 20 a 30 trabajadores de acero en la obra.<\/p>\n
