In the past year, AGF – Rebar Inc. has taken on several challenges including improving its processes within its divisions.<\/p>\n

Ra’d Daoud, EIT, Process Analyst,thus piloted the project aimed at building performance indicators for each shop.<\/p>\n

Previously, each had a global but unclear view of its daily production. It was difficult to access statistics (unless there were long operations) and therefore also difficult to make the necessary adjustments with the teams.<\/p>\n

With the new system in place, shop and branch managers in each Ontario division receive an email every day with data on tonnage produced and the level of achievement of daily goals.<\/p>\n

Crossed information comes out a scanning system of the rebar produced and the project data encoded in aSa. It produces the dashboards. Managers can therefore rely on the traceability of the quantities manufactured to define the objectives of the next day.<\/p>\n

This detailed view of production status improves performance by putting the right efforts at the right time.<\/p>\n

The next step will be to link labor statistics to production statistics.<\/p>\n

 Indicadores de desempeño en Ontario<\/h2>\n

El año pasado, AGF–Rebar Inc. superó varios desafíos, incluyendo la mejora de los procedimientos en sus divisiones.<\/p>\n

Ra’d Daoud dirigió el proyecto que tenía como objetivo crear los indicadores de desempeño para cada fábrica.<\/p>\n

Anteriormente, cada una tenía una visión global pero confusa de su producción diaria. Era difícil acceder a las estadísticas (con excepción de las operaciones grandes) y por eso era complicado también hacer los ajustes necesarios en los equipos.<\/p>\n

Gracias al nuevo sistema implantado, los gerentes de fábrica y de sucursal de cada división de Ontario reciben un correo electrónico todos los días con las cifras del tonelaje y del nivel de realización de los objetivos diarios.<\/p>\n

Un sistema de escaneo de las barras de refuerzo producidas y de los datos del proyecto codificados en aSa producen tableros de control con la información cruzada. Por lo tanto, los gerentes pueden confiar en la rastreabilidad de las cantidades fabricadas para definir los objetivos del día siguiente.<\/p>\n

Esta vista detallada del estado de producción mejora el desempeño ya que se realizan los buenos esfuerzos en el momento adecuado.<\/p>\n
