Diego Bravo, Business Development Director of the AGF Group, and José Garcia, Managing Director of TO\/AGF Chile, give us an update on the progress of two of their projects:<\/p>\n

– Lima Metro, Peru<\/strong>
\nThis project represents 76,000 MT of steel. As you might recall, AGF Peru is involved in the fabrication and installation of 100% of the rail segments and 25% of the stations of the Lima Metro. In December 2019, the team began work on the first slab supported on the exterior walls of Station 4. Installation of the walls for Station 3 is scheduled to begin in March 2020, and for Station 2 in October.<\/p>\n

In January, Serge Gendron visited the crew on site and saw firsthand that work was progressing well. The AGF Peru team is well prepared to do an outstanding job on this project, and the pace should pick up in 2021.<\/p>\n

– The MAPA project in Chile<\/strong>
\nThis is the expansion of Chile’s largest pulp mill. It consists in modernizing a pulp production line and building a third line, to increase cellulose production to an estimated total of 2.1
\nmillion tonnes. Because of its size, the project was assigned to four companies, including Sigdo Koopers, with whom TO\/AGF Chile signed a contract for 6,000 MT of steel. Depending on progress in the first phase, AGF could be awarded other contracts for this project. TO\/AGF Chile began work in October 2019 and the project should be completed by 2021.

– Metro de Lima, Perú<\/strong>
\nDiego Bravo, Director, Desarrollo de Negocios, nos informa sobre los avances del proyecto del Metro de
\nLima, el cual representa 76 000 t de acero. Como recordatorio, AGF Perú participa en la fabricación y en
\nla instalación del 100% de los segmentos de rieles y del 25% de las estaciones del metro de Lima.
\nEn diciembre de 2019, el equipo inició la primera losa, apoyada en las paredes exteriores de la
\nEstación 4. La instalación de las paredes de la Estación 3 debe comenzar en marzo de 2020 y la de la
\nEstación 2, en octubre.
\nEn enero, Serge Gendron, Ing., FIC, visitó a los equipos y pudo constatar que los trabajos avanzan a un
\nbuen ritmo. El equipo de AGF Perú está bien preparado para hacer un buen trabajo en este proyecto,
\ncuyo ritmo debería de acelerarse en el 2021.<\/p>\n

Proyecto MAPA, en Chile<\/strong>
\nEl proyecto Mapa es la extensión de la más grande fábrica de pasta de papel de Chile. Consiste en
\nmodernizar una línea de producción y en construir una tercera, lo que permitirá aumentar la producción
\nde celulosa a un total estimado en 2 100 000 t.
\nDebido a su amplitud, el proyecto fue atribuido a cuatro empresas, entre ellas Sigdo Koopers, con la cual
\nTO\/AGF Chile firmó un contrato de 6000 t de acero. En función de los avances de la primera fase, AGF
\npodría obtener otros contratos para este proyecto.
\nLos trabajos para TO\/AGF Chile iniciaron en octubre de 2019 y deben finalizarse en el 2021.
