Senior VP, Operations, invited AGF Steel&rsquo;s general managers to a meeting at the head office, including &nbsp;Alexandre Dionne (Manager, production and installation, Acier AGF- Trois-Rivi&egrave;res), Claudine Faucher (Main Manager, Acier AGF- Qu&eacute;bec) , Jos&eacute; Rochette (General Manager- Armature Sherbrooke), Kate Powell (General Manager,AGF Steel &#8211; Ottawa) and Jules Paulin (General Manager, Acier AGF- Caraquet).<\/p>\n<p>The aim was to present the 5S project developed by the&nbsp; Innovation Department and already up and running at our Armabec plant.<\/p>\n<h3>What are the 5Ss?<\/h3>\n<p>5S is a methodology developed in Japan for organizing the workplace, which consists of five phases:<br \/>\n&#8211; Seiri (sort): Keep only what is necessary in your work area<br \/>\n&#8211; Seiton (set in order): Store accessories to improve efficiency of the work area<br \/>\n&#8211; Seiso (shine): Thoroughly clean the work area<br \/>\n&#8211; Seiketsu (standardize): Set standards to ensure the work area is always organized<br \/>\n&#8211; Shitsuke (sustain): Maintain the standards and follow 5S.<\/p>\n<p>During a tour of the Armabec plant, the managers were able to see 5S in practice and measure its impacts: improved safety and working conditions, reduced risk of errors, elimination of waste and<br \/>\ngreater team efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>An action plan will be developed over the next few weeks so that all AGF Steel plants can implement the entire 5S system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-2262.jpg\" style=\"height:67px; width:400px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h2>IMPLANTACI&Oacute;N DE LAS 5S<\/h2>\n<p>En enero, Charles Chebl, Ing., Vicepresidente Principal, Explotaci&oacute;n, reuni&oacute; a todos los directores de Acier AGF para pasar un d&iacute;a en la sede social. Entre ellos se encontraban Alexandre Dionne (Trois-Rivi&egrave;res), Claudine Faucher (Qu&eacute;bec) , Jos&eacute; Rochette (Sherbrooke), Kate Powell (Ottawa) y Jules Paulin (Caraquet).<br \/>\nEl objetivo era presentarles el proyecto de las 5S, desarrollado por el departamento de mejora continua, ya implantado en nuestra f&aacute;brica de Armabec.<\/p>\n<h3>&iquest;Qu&eacute; es el proyecto 5S?<\/h3>\n<p>El proyecto 5S es una t&eacute;cnica de organizaci&oacute;n del espacio de trabajo compuesta de 5 fases:<br \/>\n1. Suprimir lo innecesario: Guardar &uacute;nicamente lo necesario en su espacio de trabajo.<br \/>\n2. Situar las cosas: Acomodar los accesorios para mejorar la eficacia del espacio de trabajo.<br \/>\n3. Sacar brillo: Limpiar a fondo el espacio de trabajo.<br \/>\n4. Seguir un est&aacute;ndar: Fijar est&aacute;ndares para tener un espacio de trabajo siempre organizado.<br \/>\n5. Seguir y progresar: Mantener los est&aacute;ndares y seguir las 5S.<\/p>\n<p>Gracias a la visita de la f&aacute;brica de Armabec, los directores presentes pudieron visualizar las 5S y medir su impacto; por ejemplo, la mejora de la seguridad y de las condiciones de trabajo, la reducci&oacute;n de riesgos de error, e incluso la eliminaci&oacute;n de desperdicio para que todos los equipos sean m&aacute;s eficaces.<\/p>\n<p>Se elaborar&aacute; un plan de acci&oacute;n en las pr&oacute;ximas semanas para que todas las f&aacute;bricas de Acier AGF puedan implantar, a su vez, las 5S.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In January, Charles Chebl, Eng.
