The sixth edition of AGF Group’s Health and Safety Week was held from May 4 to 8, 2020. <\/p>\n

It was an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of this value for our company and each employee’s role. In these unusual times, we need to step up our efforts and vigilance to ensure a healthy and safe workplace for everyone.<\/p>\n

The goals for AGF Group’s Health and Safety Week were: 
\n – to improve prevention;
\n – to instill good habits and try new things;
\n – to bolster dialogue between managers and employees in the field.  <\/p>\n

To achieve these goals, many activities took place in Quebec and across Canada, for example: 
\n – Daily completion of task safety analyses on construction sites;
\n – Stretching sessions prior to the start of shifts in all our divisions; 
\n – Plant cleaning as part of the 5S program, which we aim to complete by the end of 2020 in all our Canadian divisions; 
\n – More frequent site and plant visits by management, to interact with employees but also to ensure that new regulatory standards related to COVID-19 are respected (e.g. provision of hand-washing stations, visors and\/or masks).<\/p>\n

Information, awareness-raising and contest<\/h3>\n

At the same time, AGF employees received fact sheets on topics such as mental health, safety alerts, the benefits of a balanced diet and maintaining a safe work environment. <\/p>\n

As Health and Safety Week ended, we announced the results of the drawing contest launched a few days earlier so that employees could bring this corporate value to life in their families. We were delighted to receive such wonderful pictures of construction employees working safely. Congratulations to Bryn Roth (daughter of Matt Roth – AGF Rebar Kitchener) who won the random draw. Del 4 al 8 de mayo de 2020 se realizó la sexta edición de la Semana de la Salud y la Seguridad de Grupo AGF.<\/p>\n

Fue la ocasión para reafirmar la importancia de este valor corporativo y del papel de cada uno de los empleados. El periodo particular que vivimos nos exige especialmente duplicar los esfuerzos para garantizarles a todos un medio de trabajo sano y seguro.<\/p>\n

Durante esta semana, los objetivos de Grupo AGF fueron:
\n – mejorar la prevención,
\n – poner en práctica buenos hábitos e intentar nuevas cosas,
\n – reforzar los intercambios entre los administradores y los empleados sobre el terreno.<\/p>\n

Para hacerlo, se realizaron varias acciones en Quebec y en otras partes de Canadá como: 
\nel llenado cotidiano de análisis de seguridad de las tareas en las obras;
\n – la realización de sesiones de estiramientos musculares antes de cada turno de trabajo en todas nuestras divisiones;
\n – la limpieza de las fábricas en el marco del programa de las 5S que aspiramos terminar antes del 2020 en todas nuestras divisiones en Canadá;
\n – visitas a las obras y a la fábrica más frecuentemente por parte de los miembros de la dirección. Su objetivo es intercambiar con los empleados en el lugar de trabajo y también asegurarse de que las nuevas normas reglamentarias relacionadas con la enfermedad del COVID-19 sean respetadas (por ejemplo, el suministro de un punto de lavado de manos, visera y cubrebocas, etc.).<\/p>\n

Información, concienciación y concurso<\/h3>\n

Paralelamente, los empleados de AGF recibieron fichas de información sobre temas como la salud mental, alertas de seguridad, los beneficios de una alimentación equilibrada e incluso el mantenimiento de un ambiente de trabajo seguro.<\/p>\n

La semana de la Salud y Seguridad terminó con el resultado del concurso de dibujo que se lanzó algunos días antes para que los empleados le den vida a este valor corporativo en su familia. Nos sentimos orgullosos de haber recibido creaciones muy bellas representando a los empleados de la construcción trabajando en toda seguridad.
