The AGF Academy held its first session on Tuesday, June 30, with the integration of three new workmen, a supervisor, a health and safety advisor, and a health and safety clerk.<\/p>\n

The AGF Academy is a response to the problem of employee recruitment and retention in our industry. By formalizing the hiring process and implementing a real integration plan within AGF Group, we hope to attract and retain new employees. <\/p>\n

While the AGF Academy will initially target plant employees, it will be rolled out to all staff over the long term.<\/p>\n

The Academy’s objective is to integrate new employees on an organizational and technical level: it is important for employees to have a better understanding of the Group, its achievements and values, and to understand the purpose of the work they do. <\/p>\n

The day is also an opportunity to respond to their various concerns (group insurance, salaries, vacation, etc.) and provide them with benchmarks and resources.<\/p>\n

Typical schedule at the Academy: <\/h3>\n

Morning <\/strong><\/u>
\n– Welcome and icebreaker
\n– Presentation of AGF Group and its policies
\n– Presentation on concrete and reinforcing steel
\n– Occupational health and safety. <\/p>\n

Afternoon <\/strong><\/u>
\n– Tour of the plant and head office, tracing the entire process from receipt of a rebar order at the plant to its delivery to the construction site;
\n– Preparatory technical training: tour of the machines, learning about the criteria and standards to be respected; 
\n– Introduction of the mentor.<\/p>\n

The AGF Academy goes hand in hand with the mentoring program introduced in August to facilitate knowledge transmission and sharing of skills. It reinforces AGF Group’s commitment to learning and training.<\/p>\n

El primer día de la Academia AGF fue el martes 30 de junio con la integración de tres nuevos trabajadores, un supervisor, y una asesora y un asistente de salud y seguridad.<\/p>\n

La Academia AGF es una respuesta a un problema de contratación y de retención de empleados que causa estragos en nuestro sector de actividad. Al formalizar la contratación y al implementar un verdadero plan de integración en Grupo AGF, esperamos atraer nuevos empleados y fomentar su fidelidad.<\/p>\n

Al principio serán los empleados de las fábricas quienes se unirán a la Academia AGF, pero a largo plazo este procedimiento será extendido a todo el personal.<\/p>\n

El objetivo de la Academia es integrar nuevos colaboradores en el plan organizacional y técnico: es importante que el empleado tenga un mejor conocimiento del Grupo, de sus realizaciones y de sus valores y que entienda para qué va a servir su trabajo.<\/p>\n

Este día también es la ocasión de responder a sus diversas preocupaciones (seguro colectivo, remuneraciones, vacaciones…) y ofrecerles puntos de referencia y recursos.<\/p>\n

Día típico en la Academia: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mañana<\/p>\n

recepción y momento para romper el hielo,
\npresentación de Grupo AGF y de sus políticas,
\npresentación sobre el concreto y el acero de refuerzo,
\npresentación sobre la salud y seguridad en el trabajo.<\/p>\n

Tarde<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

– recorrido de la fábrica y de la sede social siguiendo el procedimiento global desde la recepción de un pedido de acero de – — refuerzo hasta su salida de la fábrica para ser entregado en la obra;
\n– formación técnica preparatoria: recorrido de las máquinas, aprendizaje de los criterios y normas qué hay que respetar;
\n– presentación del mentor.<\/p>\n

La Academia AGF va acompañada del programa de mentoría implantado el agosto pasado y tiene como objetivo facilitar la transmisión de conocimientos y compartir habilidades.
