It is with great pride that we announce that AGF STEEL has won the contract for phase 2 for the construction of the Ottawa light rail train (OLRT) – Confederation Line.<\/p>\n

This second phase concerns the extension of three tracks of the O’TRAIN line allowing for the network to be enriched with 15 kilometers of railway line, 11 new stations and two new tunnels on Line 1.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, AGF Steel was involved in the first construction phase of the OLRT from 2014 to 2017 and at the time supplied nearly 12,000 mt of steel (see pictures below)<\/p>\n

AGF Ottawa will be supplying and installing the reinforcing steel for the cut and cover Tunnel for the Confederation Line West extension which essentially consists of three connecting tunnels, Parkway, Connaught and Pinecrest.<\/p>\n

This new contract represents more than 10,000 mt of steel which will be produced and installed by our teams from March 2021 until around July 2023. <\/p>\n

AGF will be working as the rebar subcontractor to KEV (Kiewit, Eurovia, Vinci Ottawa Partnership) and after a delayed start, we look forward to starting this next phase of light rail and realizing another successful project. <\/p>\n

Segunda fase del tren ligero de Ottawa<\/h3>\n

Es con gran orgullo que anunciamos que AGF Steel obtuvo el contrato para la segunda fase de la construcción del tren ligero de Ottawa, Línea Confederación.<\/p>\n

Esta segunda fase concierne la prolongación de tres vías de la línea O-Train, la cual permite aumentar 15 km de línea férrea a la red, 11 nuevas estaciones y dos nuevos túneles en la línea 1.<\/p>\n

Cabe recordar que AGF Steel participó en la primera etapa de la construcción del tren ligero, de 2014 a 2017, y que en aquel momento suministró casi 12 000 t de acero.<\/p>\n

En el marco de este proyecto, AGF trabajará como subcontratista de KEV (Kiewit, Eurovia, Vinci Ottawa Partnership) para el suministro y la instalación de más de 10 000 t de acero de refuerzo de marzo de 2021 a aproximadamente julio de 2023.<\/p>\n
