The Calgary fabrication facility is fast approaching 100 days without a “Recordable Injury”. The last “Lost Time Incident” in the Calgary Shop was in August of 2019. This group has certainly turned things around. The 100 day achievement has seen this group Fabricate 3730 tons of steel without a significant injury, Remarkable. I have to give credit where credit is due, The leadership of Shawn Gordon, McBerth Hooper & Arthur Tuban has been second to none.  <\/p>\n

These guys have worked very hard in turning the safety culture around while focusing on near misses, housekeeping, maintenance, competencies & training. This group leads a very in depth morning meeting which includes stretches to start off their work day. The structure of these meetings are fantastic. The engagement, feedback, and communication is outstanding to say the least. They have got the buy-in from their crews and it speaks volumes. <\/p>\n

This group led by Cody Woods has seen drastic changes over the last 100 days and it has certainly been fun to be a part of. All of these guys have a one team approach and it’s noticeable, everyone works together to achieve the same goal. The morale has stepped up, the production has stepped up and safety is leading the charge. <\/p>\n

The crew on the floor deserves the most credit these folks stepped up in regards to Covid-19 policies while still maintaining a positive attitude, remaining focused, looking out for one another and most importantly going home the same way they had come to work. The Safety culture has shifted in the shop in Calgary & safety has become everyone’s top priority.  <\/p>\n

¡La seguridad nos concierne!<\/h3>\n

La fábrica de Calgary se acerca a cien días sin accidentes registrables. El último accidente con pérdida de tiempo data de agosto 2019.<\/p>\n

En cien días, el equipo fabricó 3 730 t de acero sin accidentes relevantes, lo cual es extraordinario. El liderazgo de Shawn Gordon, McBerth Hooper y Arthur Tuban hizo toda la diferencia.<\/p>\n

Trabajaron arduamente para reforzar la cultura de la salud y seguridad, concentrándose en los cuasi accidentes, la gestión del lugar, el mantenimiento, las competencias y la formación.<\/p>\n

Los tres dirigen una reunión matutina con su equipo, la cual incluye estiramientos para comenzar bien la jornada laboral. La estructura de estas reuniones es fantástica. La entrega, la crítica constructiva y la comunicación son completamente extraordinarias. La aceptación de los equipos se obtuvo rápidamente.<\/p>\n

Los empleados, dirigidos por Cody Woods, tienen un espíritu de equipo único: todos trabajan juntos para alcanzar el mismo objetivo. ¡La moral se mejoró y la producción se intensificó!<\/p>\n

Todos tienen una actitud proactiva respecto a las medidas sanitarias relacionadas con la COVID-19 y mantienen una actitud positiva, permanecen concentrados, se cuidan entre sí y, sobre todo, regresan a casa en el mismo estado en el que vinieron a trabajar.<\/p>\n
