José Rochette, General Manager at Armature Sherbrooke, tells us about the construction of their new plant, slated to go into operation by May 2021.<\/p>\n

Why the need for a new shop?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first thing to know is that we are tenants at Aciers Simmonds.The site’s owner, Gilles David, who is a shareholder in Armature Sherbrooke along with Mr. Gendron, informed us three years ago that he wanted to expand and modernize his Aciers Simmonds facilities. As a result, Armature Sherbrooke had to vacate its current location and find a new facility for its operations.<\/p>\n

After months of discussions, the shareholders finally decided to build a new plant for Armature Sherbrooke and to share the site with Aciers Simmonds. Mr. David is investing in the construction of Armature Sherbrooke’s new shop.<\/p>\n

In addition to the equipment we currently use, the new 18,000 ft2<\/sup> plant will be equipped with two overhead cranes and an automatic bender.<\/p>\n

The advantage of this location is that operations will take place indoors, thereby minimizing noise in the neighbourhood (which is a residential area). We will therefore be able to have an evening shift and increase our production capacity in future.<\/p>\n

Armature Sherbrooke’s staff is really excited by this project, and its customers are pleased to see this major investment realised for this new shop.<\/p>\n

Nueva planta en Sherbrooke<\/strong> <\/h2>\n

José Rochette, Director General, Armature Sherbrooke, nos habla del proyecto de construcción de la nueva planta de Armature Sherbrooke, la cual debería de ser operacional a partir de mayo del 2021.<\/p>\n

¿Por qué una nueva planta?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hay que tener en cuenta que somos arrendatarios en Aciers Simmonds. El propietario del sitio, el Sr. Gilles David, accionista de Armature Sherbrooke junto con el Sr. Gendron, nos avisó hace tres años que deseaba ampliar y modernizar las instalaciones de Aciers Simmonds. Por este motivo, Armature Sherbrooke tenía que dejar el lugar actual y encontrar un nuevo lugar para sus operaciones.<\/p>\n

Después de meses de discusión, los accionistas decidieron finalmente construir una nueva fábrica para Armature Sherbrooke y compartir el sitio con Aciers Simmonds. Fue el Sr. Gilles David quien realizó la inversión para la construcción de la nueva planta de Armature Sherbrooke.<\/p>\n

Además del equipo que utilizamos actualmente, la nueva planta de 1672 m2<\/sup> (18 000 ft2<\/sup>) estará equipada con dos puentes rodantes y una máquina dobladora automática.<\/p>\n

La ventaja de esta implantación es que las operaciones serán realizadas al interior, minimizando así el ruido en el vecindario (el cual es un sector residencial). De esta manera, podremos probablemente tener un turno de trabajo tarde y aumentar así nuestra capacidad de producción.<\/p>\n

El personal de Armature Sherbrooke está entusiasmado con este proyecto y nuestros clientes se alegran de ver realizada esta importante inversión.<\/p>\n
