Is it by canvassing customers or by calls for tenders?”

Who better to help me answer this question than Sylvain Vaillancourt, VP Business Affairs for Eastern Canada: “The vast majority of contracts are awarded following a public or private call for tenders. A small number are the result of a mutual agreement with specific customers or contractors, such as developers. This occurs primarily in the condo or rental property market. We are able to establish and maintain these special arrangements because of the excellent relationship we have developed with these partners over the years and the quality of our work.

In general, cold calling customers is not what keeps the sales and estimating team busy. It is more about managing the tender documents and following up after bids have been submitted, especially for private projects. The latter make up proportionately more than half of the contracts we are awarded.”

promotores.
