Health and safety is one of AGF Group’s core values. In these unusual times, we need to step up our efforts and vigilance to ensure a healthy and safe workplace for everyone.<\/p>\n

Prevention and awareness<\/strong><\/h3>\n

AGF Group is increasing its efforts in the area of prevention, with the aim of raising employees’ awareness of health and safety issues and helping them realize they all have an important role to play.<\/p>\n

With this in mind, we are currently training directors and supervisors on their role and responsibilities so that everyone knows the expectations related to their function  and, together, we can work to promote a culture of health and safety within the Group.<\/p>\n

At the same time, new cleanliness and good order inspections are being deployed in our facilities (for those that do not already have them) on a weekly basis, overseen by the plant managers (with support from the H&S teams). The inspections are aimed at ensuring that safety essentials are respected and that workstations are kept clean and tidy. <\/p>\n

Monthly statistics<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Since December, a new monthly report has been produced. It provides an accurate picture of incidents and accidents at all our sites and worksites and measures their progress. It is distributed to all managers so they can set a target for work-related accidents.<\/p>\n

It is important to note that when an employee is absent from his or her job, it has a serious impact on several levels, as we explained in one of our previous articles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prevención y concienciación<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grupo AGF redobla los esfuerzos en lo tocante a la prevención con el fin de sensibilizar a los empleados sobre los desafíos de salud y seguridad, y hacerlos tomar conciencia de que todos tienen un papel importante que desempeñar. En este contexto, ahora vamos a presentar los roles y las responsabilidades de los directores y de los supervisores para que cada uno pueda identificar los resultados esperados relacionados con su función y para que juntos podamos trabajar en la promoción de la cultura de salud y seguridad en Grupo AGF.<\/p>\n

Paralelamente, se están realizando semanalmente nuevas inspecciones de limpieza y orden en nuestras instalaciones (en las que no se han implantado estas actividades), bajo la responsabilidad de los directores de la fábrica (apoyados por los equipos de salud y seguridad). Estas inspecciones tienen como objetivo asegurarse del buen cumplimiento de los elementos de base en seguridad, y del orden y de la limpieza en los puestos de trabajo.<\/p>\n

Estadísticas mensuales<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Desde el mes de diciembre se realiza un nuevo informe mensual, el cual permite tener una descripción precisa de los incidentes y de los accidentes que ocurren en todas nuestras obras, y medir su evolución. Se les transmite a todos los administradores y permite fijar un objetivo en cuanto a accidentes de trabajo.<\/p>\n

Es necesario saber que la ausencia de un empleado tiene importantes impactos en varios niveles, como lo habíamos explicado en uno de nuestros artículos precedentes. <\/p>\n
