In collaboration with Claudine Faucher, Senior Director, Technical and Project Management Acier AGF Inc.<\/em><\/p>\n

Henri IV Highway is an urban highway serving the west and north ends of Quebec City. It is an important link in the city’s road network, transporting more than 100,000 vehicles each day.<\/p>\n

The widening and redevelopment of this highway, which began in 2018, is intended to improve its safety and efficiency.<\/p>\n

In addition to widening the highway to three lanes, the project required the construction of numerous structures such as gantry cranes, bridges, retaining walls, etc.<\/p>\n

AGF’s Implication<\/h3>\n

Since work began, Acier AGF in Quebec City has been involved in several segments of the project:
\n– With EBC, for the widening of the Henri-IV highway at the intersections of Einstein Street and Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard with a total of 6 bridges, a gantry and 3 retaining walls. This represents a total of 2, 000 MT of steel over 3 years. <\/p>\n

– With Hamel Construction, for a total of 1,025 MT over three years for the redevelopment of the Henri-IV and Félix-Leclerc interchanges, with two overpasses and a gantry crane, as well as redevelopment of the Henri-IV and Charest interchanges.<\/p>\n

It was also the first project in Quebec City where we supplied stainless steel rebar for our work.<\/p>\n

Completion of AGF’s work on this project is slated for fall 2021.<\/p>\n

La autopista Henri IV<\/h2>\n

La autopista Henri IV es una autopista urbana en el oeste y norte de Quebec, la cual constituye una parte importante de la red vial de la ciudad, sobre la cual circulan más de 100 000 vehículos por día.<\/p>\n

La expansión y la restauración de esta arteria, las cuales iniciaron en el 2018, tienen como misión mejorar su seguridad y su eficacia.<\/p>\n

Además de la expansión a tres vías de la autopista Henri IV, este proyecto requirió la construcción de numerosas estructuras como pórticos, puentes y muros de contención.<\/p>\n

Desde el inicio de los trabajos, Acier AGF, en Quebec, ha participado en varias partes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Con EBC para un total de 1500 t durante tres años para la realización y la expansión;<\/li>\n
  • Con Hamel Construction para un total de 700 t durante tres años para el reajuste del intercambiador vial Henri-IV y Félix-Leclerc con dos pasajes superiores y un pórtico. Asimismo, para la restauración del intercambiador vial Henri-IV y Charest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Además, para los proyectos de Quebec, fue una primicia haber suministrado las barras de refuerzo de acero inoxidable para la realización de nuestros trabajos.<\/p>\n
