{"id":47574,"date":"2021-04-13T04:47:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-13T08:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/the-network\/uncategorized\/process-improvement"},"modified":"2024-05-07T15:43:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-07T19:43:00","slug":"process-improvement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/en\/the-network\/innovation-2\/process-improvement","title":{"rendered":"Process Improvement"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>In the context of process improvement, the Technology Department, which includes the Development\/Continuous Improvement Department, is working on new tools to optimize the work of&nbsp;employees.<\/p>\n<p>Among the new features, Paul Vareille, <em>Continuous Improvement Technician<\/em>, and Jean-S&eacute;bastien Durocher, <em>Programmer Analyst<\/em>, have developed a distance management solution designed to minimize the travel distance between employees&rsquo; work sites and their homes.<\/p>\n<p>This new tool, which includes a database of 291 employees and 98 worksites in the Greater Montreal area, automates the calculation of distances between worksites and employees&#8217; homes. The length of nearly 29,000 trajectories is automatically calculated. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>What are the benefits?<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to facilitating the work of foremen and their assistants, who used to make the various calculations manually, this tool has several benefits:<br \/>\n&#8211; Reduced travel time for employees: site superintendents can now assign them to work sites closer to their home;<br \/>\n&#8211; Reduced risk of accidents during travel;<br \/>\n&#8211; Fewer errors that create frustration for site employees since the bonuses associated with kilometrage and site type are automatically recorded on the time sheet;<\/p>\n<p>With these highly satisfactory results, the project will be deployed at other divisions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-2354.jpg\" style=\"height:75px; width:450px\" title=\"\"><br \/>\nMejora de los procesos<\/h2>\n<p>En el contexto de la mejora de los procedimientos, el departamento de Tecnolog&iacute;a, del cual depende el departamento de Desarrollo y Mejora continua, trabaja en nuevas herramientas que faciliten el trabajo de los empleados.<\/p>\n<p>Entre las novedades, Paul Vareille, T&eacute;cnico en mejora continua y Jean-S&eacute;bastien Durocher, Programador analista, idearon una soluci&oacute;n de gesti&oacute;n de distancias, cuyo objetivo es minimizar la lejan&iacute;a entre las obras y los lugares de residencia de los empleados.<br \/>\nEsta nueva herramienta, la cual contiene una base de datos relativa a los 291 empleados y las 98 obras de la gran regi&oacute;n de Montreal, automatiza el c&aacute;lculo de las distancias entre las obras y el domicilio de los empleados.
