AGF recently obtained the contract to rehabilitate the Louis-Hippolyte Lafontaine tunnel-bridge, located in Greater Montreal.<\/p>\n

This tunnel, which opened in 1967, is a critical segment of the Trans-Canada Highway. In addition to connecting several highways, it is a strategic road link for the metropolitan region, Quebec and Canada. With 120,000 vehicles per day, it is one of the busiest structures in Canada.<\/p>\n

Quebec’s Transport Ministry wants to do major repairs to ensure the infrastructure’s sustainability for the years ahead.<\/p>\n

Acier AGF will supply and install reinforcing steel starting June 15, until October 2023. The scope of our work is broad and includes the construction of arches, a new floor in the ventilation towers and airlocks in the corridors.<\/p>\n

For AGF, this landmark project represents more than 1,328 MT of 500W grade crenelated steel, with more than 630 MT of stainless steel, 686 MT of galvanized steel and 10 MT of black steel.<\/p>\n

In addition, AGF will carry out 10M, 15M and 20M chemical anchoring of different depths.<\/p>\n

El puente-túnel Louis-Hyppolyte Lafontaine<\/h2>\n

AGF obtuvo recientemente el contrato de rehabilitación del puente-túnel Louis-Hyppolyte Lafontaine, ubicado en el área metropolitana de Montreal. Inaugurado en 1967, este túnel es un tramo importante de la autopista transcanadiense la cual, además de unir varias autopistas entre ellas, es un enlace vial estratégico para la región metropolitana, Quebec y Canadá. Con un flujo de 120 000 vehículos diarios, es una de las estructuras más frecuentadas de Canadá.<\/p>\n

El Ministerio de Transportes de Quebec desea realizar intervenciones importantes durante los próximos años. Acier AGF garantizará el abastecimiento y la instalación de acero de refuerzo desde el 15 de junio hasta octubre de 2023. La envergadura de los trabajos para AGF es grande, pero incluye específicamente la construcción de arcos, de un piso nuevo en las torres de ventilación e incluso de esclusas en los corredores.<\/p>\n

Este destacado proyecto representa para AGF más de 1328 t de acero dentado grado 500W, del cual más de 630 t de acero inoxidable, 686 t de acero galvanizado y 10 t de acero negro. Además, AGF realizará anclajes químicos de 10 M, 15 M y 20 M de diferentes profundidades.<\/p>\n
