Waqar Amjad, Production Supervisor at our Scarborough location had an interesting start at AGF a year ago.<\/p>\n

He was hired to do a summer job which involved shredding documents, moving boxes, etc. Waqar showed a keen interest in the business and wanted to work in manufacturing. He was then hired full time as a Production Assistant and after showing initiative and taking over multiple responsibilities, was promoted to the role of a Production Supervisor withing one year on the job. Waqar was closely involved with the Fast 80 project in Kitchener and helped to increase production by 40%.<\/p>\n

Naveed Aslam, Operations Manager at Scarborough and Waqar’s supervisor shares – “Waqar showed enthusiasm to improve himself constantly and hence I grabbed him and started training him. He always came up with good solutions to challenges faced and is a creative thinker. These traits are what helped him grow quickly within the organization”.<\/p>\n

“Always try to learn as much as you can. If you are stuck, ask for help. Always be the person who is ready to help everyone.” says Waqar. “Also try to have a “can do” attitude and that would be beneficial for anyone’s career growth!<\/p>\n

AGF Scarborough – Making new history<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Waqar Amjad, Production Supervisor at Scarborough along with 3 team members began working on the night shift on July 26th<\/sup>, 2021. The team seemed excited and nervous when asked if they were prepared for the new venture. Their happy faces were captured just days before they started on the new shift.<\/p>\n

Waqar Amjad, Supervisor de producción en Scarborough ya cuenta con una trayectoria digna de mención por su primer año de trabajo en AGF.<\/p>\n

Al inicio, fue contratado para un empleo de verano que consistía en triturar documentos, mover cajas, etc. Desde el inicio, Waqar demostró un vivo interés en la empresa y expresó su deseo de trabajar en la fabricación. Más adelante obtuvo un puesto de asistente de producción a tiempo completo. Después de demostrar tener iniciativa en la fábrica y de haber desempeñado varias funciones, fue promovido a supervisor de producción después de solamente algunos meses. Waqar participó en el proyecto “Fast 80” en Kitchener y contribuyó a incrementar la producción en un 40%.<\/p>\n

Naveed Aslam, Director de operaciones en Scarborough, y el supervisor de Waqar comentan: “Waqar está lleno de entusiasmo; durante toda su capacitación demostró que deseaba mejorarse constantemente. Siempre propuso soluciones creativas frente a los diferentes desafíos. Son sus habilidades las que le permitieron crecer rápidamente en la empresa.”<\/p>\n

Waqar comenta: “Intenten siempre aprender más. Si enfrentan un desafío, pidan ayuda. Sean siempre la persona dispuesta a ayudar a los demás. También intenten tener una actitud que diga ‘puedo hacerlo’, ¡ya que es benéfico para todos los que deseen ascender en una empresa!”<\/p>\n

AGF Scarborough – Continuación de la historia<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Waqar Amjad y otros tres miembros del equipo comenzaron a trabajar en el turno de la noche el 26 de julio de 2021. El equipo parecía emocionado y nervioso cuando le preguntamos si estaba listo para esta nueva aventura.<\/p>\n
