On March 4, 2022, we were invited to the opening of AGF Costa Rica’s new plant, but we weren’t told we would also be meeting some extraordinary people!<\/p>\n

The official opening of Mario Spadafora’s team’s new plant—complete with dignitaries, orchestra and bubbly—took place under sunny skies, just a stone’s throw from the mountainous landscape typical of Costa Rica.<\/p>\n

In addition to the dynamic AGF team, we were honoured to meet Victoria Hernandez, Minister of Economy, Industry and Commerce, Sofia Gonzalez, Alajuela’s mayor, Carlos Trejos, president of the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce and Construction, representatives of the Canadian and French ambassadors, as well as several customers and partners.<\/p>\n

The event was a great success as you can see on the pictures on this link<\/a><\/u>. Does this bode well for the newly installed team? ¡Claro que sí!<\/p>\n

A Story That Began In 2012<\/strong><\/h3>\n

AGF began its operations in San Jose in 2012 and has invested more than $10 million to support the establishment of the rebar business since its inception in Costa Rica.<\/p>\n

A big thanks to the Costa Rican authorities who helped us establish ourselves here. This installation was done easily, because Canada and Costa Rica have many things in common, in particular: respect for human rights, the preservation of nature, and the democracy which has recently allowed your people to express themselves.<\/p>\n

10 years later, Mr. Gendron says he is very confident in the future of the company and the development of the AGF Group there.<\/p>\n

Today, this division represents more than 60 employees including the administration and the plant and more than 100 on the construction sites, creating many jobs in the region, and at the same time, giving the opportunity for growth and development to our employees within the group.<\/p>\n

We wish the AGF Costa Rica team lots of success for the future !<\/p>\n

Nueva fábrica en Costa Rica<\/strong><\/p>\n

A principios de marzo, nos invitaron a participar en la inauguración de la nueva fábrica de AGF Costa Rica, ¡pero no nos dijeron que también haríamos encuentros excepcionales!<\/p>\n

Con el sol como aliado, muy cerca de un paisaje montañoso típico de la silueta de Costa Rica, el 4 de marzo se realizó la inauguración oficial de la nueva fábrica con el equipo de Mario Spadafora, ¡con dignatarios, orquesta y vino espumoso!<\/p>\n

En efecto, además del muy dinámico equipo de AGF, tuvimos el honor de contar con la presencia de la Señora Victoria Hernández, Ministra de Economía, Industria y Comercio, de la Señora Sofía González, Alcaldesa de Alajuela, del Señor Carlos Trejos, Presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de la Construcción de Costa Rica, de representantes de embajadores de Canadá y de Francia, y de varios clientes y socios. El evento fue un éxito. ¿Será un presagio del éxito de todo el equipo recién instalado? ¡Claro que sí, por supuesto!<\/p>\n

Con el traslado a una nueva fábrica, AGF Costa Rica podrá aumentar aún más su capacidad de producción y apoyar a más contratistas y clientes en sus proyectos de construcción.<\/p>\n

Mario Spadafora nos dijo: “Nos esperan importantes proyectos en el futuro: infraestructuras viales, hospitales, torres de oficinas, etc.”.<\/p>\n

El acto de inauguración fue un gran éxito, como muestran las fotos de este enlace<\/u><\/a>. ¿Es esto un presagio de éxito para el equipo recién instalado? ¡Claro que sí!<\/p>\n

Una historia que comenzó en 2012<\/strong><\/h3>\n

AGF comenzó a operar en San José en 2012 y ha invertido más de 10 millones de dólares para apoyar el establecimiento del negocio de barras de refuerzo desde su inicio en Costa Rica. <\/p>\n

Queríamos dar las gracias a las autoridades costarricenses que nos ayudaron a establecernos allí. Fue un paso fácil porque Canadá y Costa Rica tienen mucho en común, como el respeto a los derechos humanos, la preservación de la naturaleza y la democracia que recientemente ha dado voz a su pueblo.<\/p>\n

Diez años después, Serge Gendron se muestra muy confiado en el futuro de la empresa y en el desarrollo del Grupo AGF en el país.<\/p>\n

En la actualidad, esta división cuenta con más de 60 empleados, incluyendo la administración y la fábrica, y más de 100 empleados en las obras. De este modo, AGF ha creado muchos puestos de trabajo en la región y, al mismo tiempo, ha dado a nuestros empleados la oportunidad de crecer y desarrollarse dentro del grupo.<\/p>\n
