At the eighth edition of AGF Evolution, several divisions were honoured with an AGF Golden Rebar Awards. <\/em><\/p>\n

AGF Evolution is a semi-annual meeting with the senior management and managers of our divisions. For one day, some 60 employees have the opportunity to learn more about our performance in recent months and our objectives for the years ahead. It’s an invaluable occasion to share best practices and develop synergies among members of divisions who do not often have a chance to meet.<\/p>\n

For the first time at AGF Evolution, we presented seven Golden Rebar Awards<\/em> to divisions that had distinguished themselves by embodying our corporate values and key elements of our corporate vision.<\/p>\n

– AGF Costa Rica<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leadership Mindset – The Costa Rica team has seen a substantial increase in sales, improved their productivity and recently opened a new plant to support their growth.<\/p>\n

– AGF Steel Ottawa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Team Spirit – AGF Steel Ottawa faced a series of challenges in the past year, including an accidental (and thankfully injury-free) electrical explosion that significantly impacted daily operations in the plant and office. But everyone rolled up their sleeves and worked together to overcome this major hurdle so they could continue to provide impeccable customer service.<\/p>\n

Best Employer – The Ottawa team was honoured with a second award. It has a high engagement rate, with many employees having considerable seniority. It also offers internal development opportunities and has demonstrated a high level of complementarity, managing each employee’s strengths to address a number of challenges. The company takes care of its employees and has satisfactory health and safety scores.<\/p>\n

– Cobra Rebar inc.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Performance – The Cobra Rebar team has demonstrated excellent results. Their operations run like a well-oiled machine, and they’ve maintained a pace that has far exceeded their projected goals for the year.<\/p>\n

– AGF Rebar (Scarborough) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Community Involvement – AGF Rebar’s Scarborough team members are widely recognized for their high level of involvement in their community. In addition to numerous fundraising activities that elicit strong buy-in from the entire team, they’re also committed to better managing scrap steel to reduce waste and be more environmentally responsible.<\/p>\n

 – AGF Rebar (Calgary)<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Health and Safety – The Calgary team has instilled a robust OHS culture. Having broken the record of 500 days without a lost-time accident, they’re a great example to follow.<\/p>\n

– Acier AGF (Longueuil)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Industry Benchmark – The Acier AGF team in Longueuil earned this award for the high-profile projects it has worked on in recent months (REM light-rail transit, National Bank’s head office, Royalmount retail and residential complex, STM Bellechasse bus garage). The division stands out for being THE reference in its market compared to the competition (“partner of choice”). It is also recognized for its influential role in the industry.<\/p>\n

He contributed to the creation of a splendid trophy (“Golden Rebar Awards”) given to the different divisions for the values they embody. And he richly deserves his own for his exceptional involvement!<\/p>\n

Recompensas para varias divisiones de AGF<\/strong><\/p>\n

Durante la 8ª edición de “AGF Evolution”, varias divisiones fueron recompensadas con un premio AGF Golden Rebar<\/em>.<\/p>\n

¿Qué es “AGF Evolution”? Se trata de un encuentro semestral con la alta gerencia y los administradores de nuestras divisiones. Durante un día, casi sesenta empleados tienen la oportunidad de conocer más sobre el desempeño de los últimos meses y sobre los objetivos establecidos para los siguientes años. Durante este encuentro hubo muchos intercambios sobre las buenas prácticas y la creación de sinergias entre los miembros de divisiones quienes con frecuencia no tienen la ocasión de encontrarse.<\/p>\n

Por primera vez en “AGF Evolution” entregamos siete premios AGF Golden Rebar<\/em> a divisiones que se distinguieron respecto a nuestros valores corporativos y a elementos clave de nuestra visión empresarial.<\/p>\n

Los ganadores son:<\/p>\n

– AGF Costa Rica<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sentido de liderazgo: Tuvieron un buen aumento en su volumen de ventas, mejoraron su productividad y recientemente inauguraron una fábrica para mantener su crecimiento.<\/p>\n

– AGF Steel Ottawa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Espíritu de equipo: AGF Steel Ottawa pasó por una serie de desafíos durante el último año. Pensamos concretamente en la explosión eléctrica accidental (por fortuna sin heridos) que impactó de manera considerable las operaciones cotidianas de la fábrica y de las oficinas. Sin embargo, todos trabajaron arduamente juntos para superar este gran desafío y poder continuar ofreciéndoles un servicio impecable a nuestros clientes.<\/p>\n

Mejor empleador: El equipo de Ottawa obtuvo un segundo premio. En efecto, cuenta con un alto índice de compromiso, con numerosos empleados con mucha antigüedad. También ofrece posibilidades de desarrollo a nivel interno y supo demostrar el elevado nivel complementariedad y de gestión de fuerzas de cada uno para superar varios obstáculos. La empresa cuida a sus empleados y presenta puntuaciones satisfactorias en salud y seguridad.
\n <\/p>\n

– Cobra Rebar inc.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Desempeño: El equipo de Cobra Rebar demostró excelentes resultados. Sus operaciones están estructuradas como un reloj y mantienen un ritmo que ha superado considerablemente los objetivos estimados para el año.
\n <\/p>\n

– AGF Rebar (Scarborough) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Entrega social: Los miembros del equipo AGF Rebar en Scarborough son bastante reconocidos por su elevado nivel de entrega hacia la comunidad. Además de realizar numerosas actividades de recaudación de fondos con un elevado índice de participación por parte de todo el equipo, también se comprometen a gestionar mejor los recortes de acero para reducir los desechos y tener un comportamiento más ecológico.
\n <\/p>\n

– AGF Rebar (Calgary) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Salud y seguridad: El equipo de Calgary implementó una cultura de SST bastante sólida. Rompieron el récord de 500 días sin accidentes con pérdida de tiempo. Son un buen modelo que seguir.
\n <\/p>\n

– Acier AGF (Longueuil)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Modelo de la industria: El equipo de Acier AGF en Longueuil obtuvo este premio con base en los prestigiosos proyectos en los que participó la división los últimos meses (por ejemplo, REM, el banco nacional, Royalmount, STM Bellechasse). Se distingue por ser LA referencia en el mercado con respecto a la competencia (“el socio ideal”). También es reconocido por tener un papel de influenciador en la industria.<\/p>\n
