The Foundation<\/a> has decided to take up two big challenges this August.<\/p>\n

The Great Cycle Challenge: fighting kids’ cancers <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Some AGF employees have decided to participate in the Great Cycle Challenge<\/a>, from August 1 to 31, to raise funds for childhood cancer research.
\nTo do so, they have formed at team headed by Islam Kahn, account executive at AGF Rebar in Scarborough.<\/p>\n

Their goal? To ride 1,000 km and raise $1,000 for this worthiest of causes.<\/p>\n

Getting the school year off to a great start <\/strong><\/h3>\n

A few weeks ago, AGF employees in Longueuil put on a big barbecue for their colleagues in the offices and plants.
\nOn this occasion, they raised funds for “La rentrée en beauté” [Back to school in style], a project of the Fondation du Centre jeunesse de la Montérégie<\/a> [in French only].
\n <\/p>\n

Thanks to their generosity, 10 elementary and high school students will have everything they need for a successful start to the school year. In September, they will each receive a backpack, a lunch box and all the school supplies required for the year.<\/p>\n

Many thanks to all of those who took part in this fundraiser. Way to go!<\/p>\n

Los dos desafíos del verano para la Fundación Grupo AGF<\/strong><\/p>\n

Este verano, la Fundación Grupo AGF<\/a> decidió enfrentar dos grandes desafíos en el mes de agosto.<\/p>\n

“Great Cycle Challenge”: Lucha contra el cáncer infantil <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Del 1º al 31 de agosto, algunos empleados de AGF decidieron participar en el “Great Cycle Challenge<\/a>”: un desafío que permite recaudar fondos para la investigación sobre el cáncer infantil.
\nPara ello, crearon un buen equipo dirigido por Islam Kahn, Ejecutivo de Cuenta (AGF Rebar en Scarborough).<\/p>\n

¿Nuestro objetivo? Recorrer 1000 km y recaudar 1000 CAD para esta buena causa.

La rentrée en beauté – (Buen inicio del año escolar)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Hace algunas semanas, varios empleados de AGF organizaron una gran parrillada para sus colegas de las oficinas y de las fábricas de Longueuil.
\nPara esta ocasión, pudimos recaudar fondos para el proyecto “Une rentrée en beauté” de la Fundación del Centro de la juventud de Montérégie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Diez alumnos de primaria y secundaria recibirán todas las herramientas para un exitoso inicio del año escolar. En septiembre, cada uno recibirá una mochila, una lonchera y todo el material escolar necesario para el año.<\/p>\n
