La Fontaine Tunnel Bridge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you know?<\/strong> Much of the roadway leading to the tunnel will be rebuilt entirely of concrete, not asphalt.&nbsp;Concrete has the advantage of a long lifespan. It also requires little maintenance and is more resistant to freezing and thawing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our detailers, machine operators and field installers are involved in the very beginning of the process. The rebar is laid over the entire surface of the ground that will constitute the road. In this case, galvanized steel is used, which means it is covered with a layer of zinc that protects it from corrosion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next, a spreader distributes the concrete over this structure. It is levelled to the perfect elevation by a machine called a grader. Once the air bubbles are eliminated from the pavement, the grooving can begin. This allows for a good grip on the road. Asimismo, requiere poco mantenimiento y resiste m&aacute;s tiempo a las heladas y deshielos.<\/p>\n<p>Nuestros proyectistas, operadores de m&aacute;quinas e instaladores de acero en la obra intervienen en las primeras etapas del proceso. En efecto, nuestro acero de refuerzo es instalado sobre toda la superficie del suelo que constituir&aacute; el camino. Y, en este caso, se utiliz&oacute; acero galvanizado: se trata de un acero recubierto de una capa de zinc, lo que crea una protecci&oacute;n contra la corrosi&oacute;n.<\/p>\n<p>Despu&eacute;s, una esparcidora distribuye el cemento sobre esta estructura. Se actualiza para tener la elevaci&oacute;n perfecta para una m&aacute;quina niveladora. Se eliminan las burbujas de aire del pavimento y el ranurado puede comenzar.
