Since March 2022, AGF’s teams have been working on the Îlots 8 project in Griffintown (Montreal), whose mission is to offer an outstanding quality of life and enhance the neighbourhood’s vitality.<\/p>\n

The project<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A total of at least 1,900 metric tons of rebar will be installed for this 25-storey condo tower consisting of residential units and commercial space.<\/p>\n

AGF is involved in the construction of two storeys below ground and 25 storeys above ground.<\/p>\n

The work underway requires a great deal of coordination since it is located in Griffintown, where there is very little room for vehicle and load movement. We also have to adhere to a tight schedule to meet the contractor’s deadline. François-Xavier Proulx, our on-site foreman, is working miracles with his meticulousness and ingenuity.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, we are on level 3 of the tower’s construction. The building’s framework will be completed in summer 2023.<\/p>\n

Proyecto “Îlot 8” en Griffintown, Montreal<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Este artículo ha sido redactado en colaboración con Dominic Pellerin, ingeniero de proyectos.<\/p>\n

Desde marzo del 2022, los equipos de AGF participaron en el proyecto “Îlot 8” en el barrio Griffintown, en Montreal, el cual tiene como misión desarrollar una gran calidad de vida y el dinamismo urbano de este barrio.<\/p>\n

El proyecto<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Se trata de una torre de condominios de veinticinco pisos compuesta de alojamientos y de espacios comerciales.<\/p>\n

En total, se instalarán al menos 1900 t de acero de refuerzo.<\/p>\n

Para AGF, esto representa la construcción de dos plantas subterráneas y veinticinco pisos sobre la planta baja.<\/p>\n

El trabajo en curso requiere una gran coordinación ya que está situado en el barrio Griffintown, en donde hay muy poco espacio disponible para el traslado de vehículos y de cargas. También debemos tener un calendario ajustado para cumplir con los plazos del contratista. François-Xavier Proulx, capataz en el lugar, hace milagros gracias a su minucia y a su ingenio.<\/p>\n

Al momento de redactar este artículo, nos encontramos en el nivel tres de la construcción de la torre. La estructura del edificio se terminará en el verano del 2023.<\/p>\n
