At the corner of Yonge and Gerrard streets in Toronto, this 85-storey building with five parking levels is gradually taking shape.<\/p>\n<p>The project began with the laying of a ground-floor slab in March 2022. It then took almost a year to resume work on the foundations.<\/p>\n<p>With more than 9,500 metric tons of rebar to install, there were a number of challenges to overcome during this first year of work.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The challenges&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There were some design changes after the footings and columns had been installed and poured, which impacted detailing and procurement. The main challenge is managing our time when it comes to discussions, in particular, when seeking alternative solutions.<\/p>\n<p>To date, 31 requests for information have been issued for the B5 footing level alone, with more to come as the project progresses.<\/p>\n<p>The project is scheduled for completion in November 2027.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Hats off to the eight AGF team members currently working on this imposing project!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/groupeagf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ligne_bleue_separation_version_e-2483.jpg\" style=\"height:67px; width:400px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3><strong>El proyecto<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Hace aproximadamente un a&ntilde;o, hablamos en &ldquo;La Red&rdquo; sobre nuestro trabajo en una de las m&aacute;s elevadas torres de Canad&aacute;: Sky Concord. Ubicado en la intersecci&oacute;n Yonge y Gerrard en Toronto, este edificio de 85&nbsp;pisos y 5&nbsp;niveles de estacionamiento est&aacute; surgiendo progresivamente.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto comenz&oacute; con la instalaci&oacute;n de una losa en la planta baja en marzo de 2022, y despu&eacute;s tom&oacute; casi un a&ntilde;o retomar los trabajos de los cimientos. Fue necesario superar algunos desaf&iacute;os durante este primer a&ntilde;o de trabajos debido a que hab&iacute;a que instalar m&aacute;s de 9500&nbsp;t de acero.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Los desaf&iacute;os<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Hubo algunos cambios en la concepci&oacute;n despu&eacute;s de la instalaci&oacute;n y del colado de las zapatas y de las columnas, lo que afect&oacute; los detalles de abastecimiento. El desaf&iacute;o consisti&oacute; esencialmente en administrar nuestro tiempo durante las discusiones, particularmente para encontrar soluciones alternativas. Hasta ahora, se han enviado 31 solicitudes de informaci&oacute;n solamente para el nivel de la zapata B5 y otras vendr&aacute;n a medida que avance el proyecto.
